Rage

“Decker.” Jolie’s sweet voice fills the still of the night.

“I haven’t heard my name in many years, sweetness. Gotta say, I like the way it sounds comin’ from you.” Her body may be more covered up with fabric, but it does nothing to stop a shit ton of lustful thoughts from entering my mind.

“If you haven’t heard your name said in years, what did anyone call you?” Her head tips to the side in thought.

“Been Rage ever since I was voted into Diamondback MC, Jolie.” I know she’s seen my cut. Hell, I could feel her eyes on me even when she thought I wasn’t looking.

“Hmm, well, I don’t think the name quite fits the person.” There’s a reason I call her sweetness. That right there solidifies it.

“Not sure my brothers would think the same. You ready to ride?” I ask, getting off the subject. I’m not ready to delve deep into the past just yet.

“Yes!” She claps her hands together, rubbing them afterwards, a big smile on her face.

“Well, come closer, then.” I’m sitting on the seat of my bike. Her helmet sits on the back of the new seat she’ll be using. Had to leave the Inn and drive an hour away to the nearest motorcycle shop to find a seat for my bike.

“I’m excited. Thank you for inviting me,” Jolie says once she’s closer.

“You’re welcome, though you may be cussin’ me out tomorrow when you’re workin’. The seat isn’t what I was hoping for.” I grab the helmet and place it on her head, adjusting the strap before snapping it in place.

“I’ll be okay.” Ever the optimist, it seems. My gaze moves to the suction-cupped seat she’ll be on. The only good thing is, there’s nowhere else to hold on to except me.

“If you’re sore tomorrow, I’ll be sure to massage you.” I wink. She busts out laughing. Not some dainty kind of prissy laugh either, nope, it’s full-fledged.

“Come on, sweetness. Gotta return you before midnight. Don’t want you to turn into a pumpkin.” I stand up, hating that she’s not long between my spread legs, but knowing she’ll be wrapped around my body in minutes ain’t bad either.

“Someone’s been brushing up on their Disney movies.” I toss a leg over the bike, holding it up with my lower half.

“Maybe.” I feel her hand on my shoulder when her foot moves to the peg, and she climbs behind me like she’s done this a hundred times before. I’m not likin’ that thought one fuckin’ bit. “You ever ride a bike before?”

“Nope, this is my first time.” Jolie says something else, whispering it so low I can’t hear it over the rumbling of my pipes.

“Alright, sweetness, be careful of the pipes, stay neutral when I turn, and hold on.” Jolie tightens her hold on my sides. I move them so she’s wrapped around my waist.

“Okay.” Her soft, breathy voice trails over my shoulder. That’s when we take off. I didn’t think it was possible for her to tighten her hold on me, until she does, and I’m not gonna complain about it.

“Decker!” I can hear the laughter in her voice. We go slow until she gets her bearings and we’re out and away from the Inn, leaving the outskirts of this small town in our wake. Once she loosens her hold on me, I push down on the throttle, causing us to go faster, the mirror and streetlights showing me the wide smile on her face.

It has my thoughts going to my brothers, how they feel nothing but pure fuckin’ happiness when their Ol’ Ladies are around, and it has me questioning if Jolie is the one for me, and if she is, will she understands the life, how we live wild and free, skirting the edge of the law, sometimes a good thing, often times bad. Or the fact that there’s a reason Rage is my road name. If someone fucks with a person who I consider mine, whether it’s family or not, they fuck with those demons deep inside me, and there’s no telling what will come out. Though her battle may be just as bad, Jolie’s family seems bat shit crazy when it comes to emotional turmoil. I feel Jolie shiver against me. I should have warned her to bring a jacket even though it’s in the seventies at night. It can be brisk with the wind.

“This is so much fun,” she says when we come to a stop at a red light. My hand drops down to her leg, rubbing it. Her hand finds my forearm, and she holds on to it.

“Glad you’re havin’ fun, sweetness. Gonna stop in a few minutes, grab my jacket for you outta the saddle bags, then maybe we’ll get a drink.”

“I don’t drink, but I could go for a Coke.” My hand tightens on her leg then lets it go. I have to wonder if she’s even of the age to drink or if this is more of her family shit. I know one thing for sure—I’m going to make it my mission to know everything I can about Jolie.
