Sinful (Diamondback MC 6) - Page 4

“Oh, crapsicles, how much of that did you witness?” She turns around. I lose sight of her heart-shaped ass, but the white tank top she’s wearing that’s wet from cleaning is giving me an even better view.

“A whole lot, sweetness. Pretty impressed with how you can do three things at once.” The toothpick is pressed between my cheek and teeth, a vice I picked up when I quit smoking years ago.

“Any chance you can forget this ever happened?” Gone is the girl who ran away in the stairwell outside. Now, there’s a confidence I like seeing, along with the outline of her tits, which are fuckin’ fabulous, and the bra she’s wearing is barely containing them.

“Not sure I’ll ever get an ass like yours out of my mind,” I tease her. A sweet blush takes over her sinful body from her cheeks to the tops of her lace-bra-covered chest.

“Isn’t that just swell.” She rolls her eyes and starts to stand up. The floor must be slippery because just as she’s about to stand, she starts sliding. I plant my feet and grab on to her hips, bringing her closer and keeping her from falling flat on her face.

“That’s the second time today you’ve ended up in my arms. I have a feelin’ you’re liking it as much as I am.” Her hazel-colored eyes meet mine, eyelashes fluttering closed at first then popping back open.

“Umm, either that or you’re at the wrong place at the wrong time,” she banters, attempting to take a step away from me, again. I’m not having that. Instead, my grip tightens, and I take a step back and bring her with me.

“Or I’m at the right place at the right time.” I wink but allow her to step away, for now. It seems as if Jolie has put a spell over me, one that had me reluctant at first, but now I’m seeing the upside to this little cat and mouse game.

“There is that. I’ll only be a few more minutes, and then I’ll be out of your hair.” I nod, letting her know that’s fine, and take a seat in the chair that’s set up in the corner. This place is set up pretty nicely. You can either use the inside stairs that lead up to your room on one side of the building, or you can take the outside stairs, which means you don’t have to see a freaking soul. They also lead you to the other side of your room, allowing you to enjoy a balcony of sorts. You get a view of the bayou, but if you’re out too late at night, the mosquitos will carry your ass away.

“Don’t rush on my account. I got the perfect view.” Maybe Shovel’s right. Starting a chapter in Louisiana may be just what I need. Jolie’s laugh carries throughout the small room. I watch as she pops out her earphones, pocketing them in her tight-as-fuck shorts. I’m not even sure how she fits anything in them with how tightly they hug her hips and ass. She puts everything back in her cart, grabs a towel, and gets back on her hands and knees to dry the floor. I’m not ashamed to say that I crane my neck to watch the entire fuckin’ process.

“Hey, Jolie.” I grab her attention when she crawls backwards out of the bathroom. Her head tilts to the side.

“Yes?” Her soft caramel-colored hair is in a braid hanging over her shoulder, mussed up from working all day.

“You done with work after this?” An idea is forming in my head.

“I wish. I need to work on the books and make sure Dad has at least had dinner, then get him to bed.” Fuck, this girl has the whole damn world on her shoulders.

“How long will that take you?”

“If I’m lucky, I’ll be done around midnight. Why?” She grabs a few towels, walks back into the bathroom, I’m assuming to put them away, before she walks back out.

“Jesus, and you’re up at six o’clock in the fuckin’ morning putting out food and shit. You ever get a break?”

“It’s just the way it is these days. It wasn’t always like this. You still never said why you’re asking all these questions.” Shit, I guess I didn’t.

“Want to take you on a ride, get you out of here so you can breathe a bit, feel the wind in your hair.” Not to mention, I want that sinful-as-fuck body wrapped around me, even if there are clothes between us and she is a good ten or so years younger than me.

“Oh.” She pauses, as if she doesn’t get asked out much, or at all.

“You gonna let me know what day you’re free?” I reiterate.

“Umm, I can make time tonight and work on the books tomorrow night, but it has to be when Mother Gothel is asleep, so, like, around nine-ish?”
