Fallen Royal (Mafia Royals 4) - Page 40

“Up here.” I snapped my fingers.

“Nahhhh, down here.” He made a clicking noise with his mouth, then ripped my panties and tossed them to the side. “You know since you’re buying a billion more.” I laughed, then stopped when he dove between my legs, his tongue flicking and sucking like he had zero time left on this earth.

I would have said something about him rushing, but it felt so good, and it was Maksim.

He was my soul.

“Wh-whats the rush?” I asked.

“Hey, you’re the one that said I was fast.” He pulled back long enough to say that, only to slap me lightly right where it would inflict the most feeling.

I tensed.

“There you are.” He grinned, mouth wet and gleaming in the bedside lamp before he was diving back between my legs, his hands spread up past my ass to grip my boobs.

I made a little noise as he pinched a nipple with one hand and slapped with the other.

I wasn’t sure where to focus my attention or feelings. All I knew was that he was assaulting both parts of my body and not giving me any time to process what was happening.

All I could do was feel as he devoured me like I was his last meal.

I let out a little scream. “I’m really close, Maks.”

“Yeah, you are.” He chuckled, and the vibration against my skin nearly did me in. It felt like he was sending me over a cliff, only he pulled back and crawled over me, kicking off his jeans in one smooth movement, settling between my legs.

I frowned; I couldn’t help it. Maksim had always been… should I say, adventurous? He loved sex in random places around the house. The fact that we could get caught? Even better. So him settling between me missionary style was almost weird.

His hair was a mess. I grabbed hold, pulling his head down so I could kiss him. He tasted like him and me; I loved it. I wanted more. I would kiss him forever if he’d let me. His lips were soft yet demanding.

Abruptly, he pulled away. “I need to look at you.”

“Okay,” I whispered.

His eyes filled with tears.

Yes. Something was very wrong.

“Maks.” I gripped his biceps as he settled between my thighs, his tip at my entrance. “Focus on me, on this moment, only that, okay?”

He nodded, biting down on his lower lip as he smoothly thrust inside me. My body attempted to adjust to his girth. I bit back a moan. His eyes never left mine. Instead, they were locked, like he was afraid to blink.

“You can move, you know,” I said.

“But then it’s done.”

“We still have more time.” I smiled.

A tear slid from his cheek onto my chest. “Okay.”

I believed what I knew was a lie as his body moved over mine, his hips thrusting hard while I accepted every inch of him.

We didn’t kiss; we didn’t close our eyes. The connection we shared was nearly terrifying, each dip of the mattress, each time I clenched around him and pulled him in deeper, my body almost demanded we never let him go.

He wasn’t just a perfect fit.

He was my perfect fit.

He was something that I would never find in this lifetime ever again, so I memorized the moment, and I held him close, afraid he was going to go away.

“Why is this different?” My fingernails dug into his skin. “This isn’t just sex.”

“No,” he whispered. “It’s not.”

“What is this?”

He didn’t answer. Instead, he slid his hand between our bodies and got me off while finishing inside me. I followed right away—angry that it was so soon.

“Until my heart stops beating,” he whispered.

A tear slid down my cheek as I repeated. “Until my heart stops beating.”

He leaned over and kissed my nose, then pressed his forehead against mine again, his hand up to my chest resting over my heart. “You’re so strong, Iz. I’m so proud of you.”

“Maks…” Tears blurred my vision. “You’re strong too, stronger than whatever’s going on. Promise me no matter what you’ll fight, you’ll get help, that you won’t just leave!”

His eyes were growing more and more distant. “I wouldn’t leave you by choice, Iz, you know that.”

“There’s always a way,” I sobbed.

“You’ll be okay.” He sighed. “I made sure of it.”

“What? You’re talking like a crazy person.”

He barked out a laugh still inside me, “Yeah, well…”

“What the hell is going on?”

He tensed over me suddenly, his eyes widened, and then he abruptly pulled out of me and stumbled away toward the bathroom.

“Maks?”

“I need a minute.” His voice was raspy, like he’d been yelling for the last few hours.

He shut the door behind him. Water started running; maybe he had to go to the bathroom or just needed a minute.

I put on one of his white T-shirts and his favorite pair of boxers and went over to the small fridge in his room that held bottled water and chilled wine.
