The Blush Factor (The Hawthornes of New York 2) - Page 45

One of her hands drops to her mound. She brushes a finger over her clit, but I move quickly. I nip at it with my teeth because I want that.

I suck the swollen nub between my lips as I up the pace of my fingers.

I fuck her like that with my hand with her panting and moaning, and when she comes, this time it’s on my fingers.

She rides my hand through an intense orgasm as I yearn for more. Even in this moment when she is granting me a wish I didn’t know I had until mere weeks ago, I want more of her.

I want all of her, and I don’t know how the fuck I’m ever going to walk away from this.

“Go home, Matthew.”

I crack open an eyelid to find the most striking blue eyes in the world locked on my face.

“You’re kicking me out?” I tug on the blanket to cover more of me since right now, the blanket is barely touching my legs.

Faith Upton, in all her cute and sexy uniqueness, is a goddamn blanket hog.

She yanks the blanket free to wrap more of it around her.

I sigh, not caring that the cool air in the room is enveloping me.

“I’m not kicking you out.”

I reach to tuck a lock of her hair behind her ear. “You just told me to go home. I heard it. It was a big fuck you straight from the mouth of FU.”

That lures a smile to her swollen lips.

I kissed her senseless after she came. Then I yanked her close to me and hummed her to sleep.

I hummed the Rhea and The Pimps song from their video. That goddamn thing has been stuck on rewind in my head for days.

She nuzzles closer to me. Her breath skirts over the skin of my neck right before I hear the faint words she whispers to me, “I want you to get a condom.”

My gaze snaps to her face. “You want that?”

I see the answer in her eyes before she utters a single word. “Yes.”

Regret swims in my gut because this isn’t what I want. I say as much without thinking to preface it with soft words that will comfort her. “Not tonight, Faith.”

She takes it as a rejection. Her body moves quickly, pulling back from my embrace. “Okay.”

Shit. Fuck. Goddammit all to hell.

I shimmy across the bed as she heads out of it. It’s only when she’s taken a step away that I get my hands on her.

I circle my arms around her, tugging her back into my chest.

My hand drops to cup her breast as I press my lips to the side of her neck. “I want to fuck you, Faith.”

“But not now,” she whispers. “You said not tonight.”

I spin her around to face me.

When I do, I see a tidal wave of emotions in her eyes.

It slays me to hurt her. I’d rather someone pierce my heart with a sword than be forced to witness the pain my words cause her.

“I want your first time to be special.” My voice comes out edged by a tremor. “I need it to be special.”

She softens instantly. “This was the most special night of my life.”

I bow my head to hide my own emotions because fuck it, it’s the most memorable night of my life, and fear won’t let me admit that to her.

“Tomorrow night,” I say in a strangled tone. “Friday. Tomorrow. Spend the night with me, Faith.”

Her hands drop to her hips. “Will you be on call?”

“Hell, no.” I laugh. “I’m one hundred percent yours for the entire night and all day Saturday if you want.”

She looks up and into my eyes. “I have a school thing on Saturday afternoon, but until then, I’m all yours too.”

Extend that to forever, and I’ll walk out of here as the happiest man on the planet.

I turn her around and push her onto the bed until her back falls against the mattress.

“Hey.” She wags a finger at me. “What was that for?”

“This,” I say as I drop to my knees and settle between her thighs. “I’m addicted to this already, Faith. You better get used to it.”

Chapter Thirty-Seven

Faith

“Someone took a long one last night.”

I turn to look at Gwynn. “A long one? Like a bath?”

She giggles. “More like a cock. You’re glowing, Faith. You finally had some fucking fun, didn’t you?”

I stare at her.

“I mean it literally,” she points out. “You fucked someone and had a hell of a good time doing it.”

Technically, Matthew fucked me with his fingers and his mouth. I lost track of how many times, but I do know that before he left my apartment this morning, I wanted to go down on him.

That didn’t happen because I caught a glance of the time on the old alarm clock.

I jumped out of bed, ran to the shower, and by the time I was done, Matthew was at my door with his sweatpants on.
