Bare (Diamondback MC 3) - Page 19

“You’re not wrong. Raven would do that. I’m sorry, Sadie, so damn sorry you, Henley, and Monroe weren’t protected better,” Bentley tries to take the blame.

“No, you have nothing to be sorry about. This is all Tony and Maria’s doing. They hold the blame. Now, you go do what you have to, then come home to me and Henley.” My lips seek his. Bentley wraps his arms around us as well as he can in this weird-as-hell position. It doesn’t matter though. Nothing else matters when it’s the three of us cocooned in our world, our lips meeting, his tongue teasing the seam of my own, and the low growl in his throat only makes me need him that much more.

“Love you, Sadie. You and Henley have me, forever,” Bentley states after our kiss leaves us breathless.

“Oh God, you’re going to make me cry, Bentley.” Tears form in my eyes, making him watery as I attempt to blink them away.

“No need to cry, and you don’t have to return those words. Want you to know what you mean to me.” This man, Jesus, he’s what a girl dreams of ever wanting.

“I love you, Bentley. There’s no doubt, never a second-guess. I told you I was jumping in with both feet, and I meant it.” His lips meet mine again. This time, Bentley doesn’t let me up for air until a throat is clearing, meaning our time is up. He’s got shit to do, and I need to get us girls up and moving. My heart is bursting at the seams, so even though it sucks to leave, I know Bentley will always come for Henley and me.

We took the trash out, so to speak. There was no evidence of the shit Sadie, Henley, and Monroe went through after we left today. Well, nothing but ashes. I rode like hell to get back here, having to ride Cannon’s bike and Shovel riding Doc’s. It also helped that we initiated Bennett into the club. Now we’re all back, each of us having a vice of our choice before finally calling it a night. Mine was a shot of whiskey, Razor and Shovel’s a cigarette and beer. The other men not having women to go to sat down at the bar or pool tables and shot the shit.

I didn’t stick around long. My only goal was a shower to get the smell of sweat, smoke, and death off me. Then I was going to slide in bed with my girls. I already know after the ordeal Sadie went through that there was no fuckin’ way she was letting Henley out of her sight, and even though I’d love nothing better than to slide deep inside Sadie’s tight, wet cunt, it wasn’t going to happen tonight.

As much as I want to stop at the bed the second I unlock my bedroom door—something I’ve told Sadie to do when she’s here by herself asleep, or even when I’m here and we’re asleep, we always do—I don’t stop, not to kiss Henley’s soft cheek or to let Sadie know I’m back. The pull to slide in beside them without showering is too strong. I walk past them, making my way into the shower, not bothering with turning on both lights, just the one in shower, strip out of my clothes knowing they’ll be burned tomorrow along with the others’.

I hurry through my shower, scrubbing my body and hair, ignoring my cock that’s hard as a rock, knowing the last thing Sadie needs is to be woken up after today even if I’m coming down from an adrenaline rush. Tomorrow, she can help me take care of that. I turn the water off, towel off, then wrap it around my waist, leaving the bathroom light on as I go but cracking the door. Henley is used to having a nightlight in her room at home, and after today’s events, who knows what tonight will hold.

“Bentley.” Sadie’s voice is whisper soft. She lifts her head. Henley’s in the middle of the bed, and she’s on the side furthest from the door.

“Hey, sugar, let me put some shorts on, and then I’ll hold my girls.” I drop my towel, open the drawer, grab my shorts, and slide them on, not giving a single shit that I’m leaving a wet towel on the floor. My eyes meet Sadie’s. The arch in her eyebrow tells me we’ll have words about the towel, but right now, it’s the furthest thing from my mind.

“I’m so glad you’re back, safe and sound.” My body makes its way into the bed, careful not to jar Henley awake. She’s spread out like a starfish, taking up most of the bed.

“Me too. Think she’s gonna wake up when I move her?” I ask Sadie.

“Not likely. Henley barely made it through dinner, her shower, and medicine before she was rubbing her eyes and begging for our bed. I tried to get her to go in the crib you have set up, but she wasn’t budging, and honestly, I kind of need her close,” Sadie admits as I move Henley to make room for myself.
