Wedded to a Wayne: A Finn World Holiday Romance - Page 30

Lightning. I feel the fiery bolt pierce my spine, sparks shooting along every nerve in my body. I’m blinded by it, but I can still feel the hot blaze of my release as I let go inside her.

Take it. Take all of it. Take me. Love me.

When I come back to myself, I force my hips to stop grinding her into the bed, lowering her leg to my hip, and she sighs gratefully.

I inhale her scent and nuzzle her neck, shifting my weight to her side so my body doesn’t collapse on hers in utter satisfaction.

That’s what I’m feeling. The kind I’ve heard about, read about, but never truly experienced until now.

I cup her sex with my hand and she twitches beside me, still sensitive. “Shh, baby. I just wanted to cuddle.”

When I feel my come leaking out of her onto my fingers, I can’t keep my smile in check.

She must be looking at me, because her breathless laugh is one of disbelief. “Neanderthal.”

“They were sweethearts compared to me,” I say, my grip tightening slightly on her mound. “When it comes to you, Tanisha, I can’t seem to help myself.”

When she doesn’t respond, I ask, “Was I too rough?”

She kisses my cheek. “You were exactly right, Emerson. I feel wonderful. Even the parts of me that didn’t know they could twist that way feel wonderful. It’s like that time I had too much champagne for New Year’s. I’m all floaty.”

She’s saying all the right things, but I know I wasn’t as careful with her as I should have been. “I think what we need now is a shower.”

“Are you sure? We could just lie really still and cuddle until we’re sure.”

My chuckle is pure masculine pride. “Shower.”

I roll off the bed and scoop her up in my arms before she can protest again.

She clings to me, looking uncertain. “You know I have a chair in there. And you’re a big guy.”

“We have a big shower, baby. We’ll make room.”

And there are a lot of creative ways to take her in a chair. I’ll show her as soon as I have a minute to recover.

Maybe two.

Chapter Seven

Tanisha

“So, she’s amazing.”

I hide my smile as I exit the kitchen, leaving Hugo and Robert to corner Emerson after dinner.

Hugo likes me.

I brought my biryani dish as a side, at Lang’s request. Apparently, it’s a hit with the entire Wayne family, as well as their significant others.

I’m walking back toward the main dining room to gather up more of the dirty dishes when I find an obstacle in my path. A giant, handsome, Samoan obstacle.

“Is our babysitter still in New Zealand?” Royal asks, glancing down at his phone. “Because I really want to tease him for missing this meal just so he can search for Lord of the Rings memorabilia with Elliot, but I’m not sure if he’s up or not.”

“I think he’s in the air. Unless he changed his reservations, he’ll be back tomorrow morning.”

I see a hint of disappointment in Royal’s eyes and know exactly how he feels. With JD joining his friend Fiona at the Finn dinner, and Joey unable to get an earlier flight due to a weather delay, we’re the only familiar faces at the Wayne holiday gathering.

“But I heard we’ll have visitors for Christmas, right?”
