Ugly Beast (Hell's Bastards MC 1) - Page 59

“Do you like when I touch you?”

“Yes.”

“Good.”

The cell phone he’d been carrying in his pocket rang.

Abriana looked startled, but he held his hand up. It was the cell phone her father had given her.

“Let’s take this some place private. I want it on speaker to hear.”

They rushed inside, going straight to Smokey’s office. Abriana let out a gasp as he had a woman riding him behind his desk. Smokey instantly put his hand across the woman’s mouth, whispering something to her.

“Answer it,” Smokey said.

Handing the cell phone to her, he pointed at the speaker, and she clicked accept, and beeped it again so they all could hear.

“What took you so fucking long?” Vigo asked.

“I’m sorry. I was outside, and I didn’t know if you wanted me to answer in front of everyone. Ugly Beast doesn’t know I’ve got a cell phone.”

He nodded at her.

“Fucking useless.”

Ugly Beast tensed up.

“What do you know? What are they planning? We got word that Smokey’s got men coming in all over the place.”

“Erm, nothing, I don’t know anything.”

“So help me God, Abriana. Just fucking think, you worthless piece of shit.”

She didn’t cry, but he saw how her father’s words were affecting her. He wanted to end the call, but they needed her to play along, even as it was annoying him to see her treated like this.

Get a grip. She’s just a pawn.

“I don’t know anything. I rarely see him. I mean it. I don’t have much to do with the club.”

“He’s probably fucking some prettier piece of ass. I want answers, Abriana, and fast. I’ll call you next Saturday. You better learn something or you’ll be sorry.”

“What exactly do you want me to do?”

“You’ve got a pussy, work him. Get him to fuck you. I don’t care what. Work his president if that ugly scarred fuck won’t give you something. I want details. If I don’t get them, you’re not needed.”

The line went dead.

“Get the fuck out,” Smokey said, shoving to one side the woman he had on his dick.

Abriana handed him the cell phone. “Can I please be excused?” she asked.

She wouldn’t look at him, and Ugly Beast didn’t like it.

“Go,” Smokey said.

She was gone before he could dispute it.

“You okay, Ugly?” Smokey asked.

“Yes.”

“You look like you want to go and tear Vigo a new one.”

“I’m fine.”

“It’s okay to care.”

“What the fuck?”

“She’s your wife. I have to say, I don’t like that shit he was saying about her, either,” Smokey said. “I wonder if she’s put up with that shit all of her life.”

Ugly Beast didn’t need to wonder; he knew she had. It’s why she felt useless.

“They’re getting desperate.”

“You need to bring the meeting with Drago forward. We need to end this shit once and for all,” Smokey said.

“I’m on it.” Ugly Beast nodded at his president before leaving the room. The woman that been riding Smokey’s dick was outside the office, smoking a cigarette, looking desperate to go back inside. He didn’t even want to get into that shit.

Before he called Drago, he made his way upstairs and found his wife sitting on the floor near his bed, knees drawn up, and she wiped at her tears as he walked inside.

“I’m sorry for running off like that.”

“Your dad speak to you all the time like that?”

“It’s fine. It’s nothing.”

“It didn’t sound like nothing to me.” he said, closing the door.

He sat on the floor beside her, hating the sniffles that came from her.

“One day I’m going to kill your dad.”

She laughed. “Good luck with that.”

“You don’t believe me.”

“You’re not the first guy who has wanted to kill him.” She shrugged. “You won’t be the last.”

He took her hand. It was so soft and small against his own. Opening his hand up, he waited for her to spread her hand out. He waited, and his patience was rewarded. Holding her hand tightly, he turned her hand over so his was on top.

“I’m not like most guys, Abriana. He’s made you cry one too many times. He’ll die at the right time.”

He rolled his head toward her, and she was staring at him. The silence in the bedroom spread out. She nibbled on her fat bottom lip, and he wanted to tug it between his own teeth.

“Will you make me one promise?”

“What?”

“Will you promise?”

“I don’t make promises I can’t keep. I need to know more before I give my word.”

“Stay alive,” she said. “Don’t get yourself killed dealing with him.”

“I won’t get myself killed. I promise you that.”

She smiled, and she rested her head against his shoulder.

Chapter Twelve

“You’re wearing way too many clothes,” Raven said, removing the jacket she wore.

The party at the clubhouse hadn’t ended on the first night, but it was now Saturday and with all the kids gone for the night, things were heating up.

Abriana chuckled. Raven had sneaked her a beer and a shot of whiskey, and she was already starting to feel the buzz of the alcohol she’d consumed. She’d never been much of a drinker.
