Love the Boss (Managing the Bosses 4) - Page 35

"I can imagine what you'd taste like right now," he growled as he took a step toward her, stalking her.

Jamie turned and pressed her back to his door. "Like sticky wet need."

"Fuck." He started for her as she spun and unlocked the door, jerking it open, giggling. "I'll see you in an hour for dinner. We're riding all together, leaving from here, right?"

"Tease." He stopped just in front of her and let his eyes move across her. "My sexy little tease."

"Shhh... don't tell anyone. I'll be the office favorite. I'm too tired for all of that."

He popped her butt as she turned, pulling a soft yelp from her.

"You guys are so sweet for agreeing to this." Kristen spoke from the backseat of Alex's Lexus. She sat beside Mark, and Jamie sat beside Alex in the front. Alex had offered to use his chauffer, but Jamie had whispered in his ear that, if he drove, they could leave for an early bedtime. He didn’t argue.

A late winter freeze had blown in, so they were stuck in slow traffic, late for their reservation.

"This’ll be fun.” Jamie slid her hand over to Alex’s knee and slid it up, letting her fingers rest close to his manhood. He shot her a hungry gaze and shifted slightly closer. Jamie cleared her throat to cover her giggle. “Alex said that you have to head back out tomorrow?" Jamie turned in her seat. After talking with him about Kristen, she realized how standoffish she had been. It was time to reach out and try to be a little more welcoming. Besides, in Jamie's opinion, Kristen would make a great girlfriend for Mark. Too bad she lived out of town.

"Yeah, unfortunately." Kristen shrugged. "I do have some hard decisions to make when I get back home, though. My boyfriend and I are at the end of our relationship. I guess I can say ex-boyfriend now."

"Oh no." Jamie moved more into the middle and turned farther, wanting to see the girl's face. "That's horrible news."

"Or not." Kristen shrugged. "I never had much luck at picking men."

"No shit." Alex chuckled. "I’m kidding. You should talk to Mark; he just filed for divorce. If your ex is anything like his, maybe we should introduce the two of them."

"You did?" Kristen turned to look at Mark.

"Yeah. Bad divorce, but, honestly, it was the best decision I could have made. We're both back to being normal, happy people. The zombie stage is officially over." He gave her a goofy grin, and Jamie moved back in her seat and gave Alex a quick wink.

Jamie glanced up at the sky. "You know what? What do you think if we just get something and go back to the house? It's supposed to only get worse, from what the weather guy said." She reached over and rested her hand in his lap again. She tried not to blush. Acting like a sex-crazed woman in a snowstorm didn’t seem to bother Alex. He grew hard near her hand. She grinned and faced forward, hoping their passengers didn’t notice.

"You guys okay with that?" Alex asked, straightening his back and lifting up to look in the rearview mirror.

"What's that?" Mark asked.

Jamie turned herself again to look in the backseat. "The storm is supposed to get really bad tonight. We could just stop into the grocery store, a pizza parlor, or that really yummy Chinese place down from the house and get stuff."

"And then go back to my place and just hang out," Alex finished up for her.

"I like the sound of that." Kristen glanced

over at Mark. "That okay with you?"

"I'm just along for the ride, pretty girl." He winked at her and reached out, touching the tip of Kristen’s nose. "Do whatever you want. I'm just glad to be with you guys. Today sucked ass."

"Agreed," Alex and Jamie echoed each other.

Kristen asked why, and Jamie let Mark answer her as she turned back to Alex.

"Where do you want to grab something? What do you feel like?" She reached out and rubbed his growing erection softly.

"I'm thinking Chinese sounds delicious." He glanced over at her as traffic finally started to move. "We can get everyone's cars in the morning if it gets really bad out here tonight."

"I think that's a great idea." Jamie leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes and just enjoying the subtle voices in the backseat. Kristen seemed like a great girl, and Mark was an incredible man. He deserved only the best. Now Jamie just had to figure out if that was Kristen, and if it was... how to get her to move to New York.

She finally moved her hand away from Alex and pulled her phone out. She called the Chinese place and ordered several different dishes, double-checking to see if she had ordered enough. They stopped by the restaurant and Alex ran in to grab the food.
