CHAPTER SEVEN BRYNSYN

“Youwanttofuck Clemmsies, that’s rich!” I say with a chuckle as I watch Misael.

His gaze is on the door that Clemmentime Thorn just walked out of and I can’t say that I blame him much. She’s curvy, vibrant, and has a sharp wit. She isn’t horrible to deal with in the same with that Soskia Windaire is, but the girl definitely won’t back done from a giht if it comes to her. I’ve known her since we were in our early teens and she has got to be one of my favorite people in the school which is why I won’t actually fuck her.

I only fornicate with people I hate.

It works out better for everyone that way.

Except I don’t hate Neryssa Eirbac and I definitely may just fuck her.

Whether I like her or not.

Misael’s lips pull into a frown and he glares at me.

“Its crazy because I distinctly remember you giving me a lecture about not fucking the students when you picked me as your assistant.”

I’d tuned out most of the speech that Misael had given me before I signed the teaching assistant contract.

No cheating for other students.

No giving early peeks at the tests.

No fucking any of the students in the class.

I’d listened to that last one about as much as I’d listened to him telling me I had to wear a shirt to his class. He’d been bitter about the fact that Sprouse had changed the dress code for the teachers, no longer allowing them to wear casual clothes.

It’s why I made a point of only pulling my jacket on today. If I hadn’t been aware of the dark marks running along the back of my skin this morning, I would have forgone wearing anything on top. As it is, I don’t need to bring attention to the marks that I shouldn’t have.

The ones that come with a death sentence.

“I don’t want to fuck any of the students.”

“Thank god, because if you did, I’d have to report you,” the femenine voice comes from the doorway. I grin as my eyes land on Misslyn Clarkton, the professor's twin.

She strides into the room, flopping down in one of the seats. Her brown hair has even more dashes of white and silver than her brother and it's pulled back into a low ponytail and her face is sparkling with glitter.

“Potion Control class gone wrong?” I ask her.

She flips me the finger.

“Who are you trying not to sleep with, little brother?” she asks. She was born three minutes before Misael and it’s something she’ll never let him live down.

“No one,” Misael grits out, narrowing his eyes at his sister before giving me the same look. “Brynsyn is just being an asshole and making me reconsider allowing him to be my assistant.”

“It’s too late,” I tell him with a grin, “Sprouse said the contract stands the entire semester, barring something disastrous happening and as it is, I haven’t done a thing I wasn’t supposed to.”

“We’ll see how long that lasts,” he mutters, “now what do you want? I know you didn’t stay back to pester me about a student.”

“Actually I did, it just happens to be another student.”

“Oh,” Missy says in interest, leaning forward. “Who is it?”

“Neryssa Ebirac.”

Misael folds his arms over his chest. “What do you want to know about her?”

“Well, what do you know?” I ask him, but I also take a look at Merci. They both keep an ear to everything going on in the higher social circles of the fae world and Neryssa’s last name is enough to let me know she’s not a slum fae.
