The Sheik's Rescue - Page 29

“Sounds like a fun plan.” She bit her lip, looking around to see where the towels were located.

“Towels are by the wall,” he told her, reading her mind.

She looked at him, then over at the stack of fluffy white towels neatly stacked on a shelf. And yes, they were right outside the bedroom doorway. In order to get a towel, she’d have to walk out of the pool naked.

“You’re doing it again,” she replied, spying his lascivious grin.

“Hey,” he lifted his hands, palms up. “I’m not stopping you. You’re the one that is too self-conscious to get out and grab a towel.”

She sighed, pushing her hair back. “I don’t suppose that you would be a gentleman and get a towel for me.”

He chuckled. “So you want me to get out of the water and allow you to survey my naked body, but you’re unwilling to do the same?”

She considered his question, then nodded her head. “Yes. You’re less self-conscious than I am. So yes, I’m more than willing to let you get out of the pool and grab a towel for me.”

He laughed, throwing his head back as he pushed his dark hair over his head. “Fine,” he replied, then moved over to the edge of the pool. With powerful movements, he lifted himself out of the water, then walked over to the stack of towels. He picked up two, lifting one to dry his face and he set the other one on the table. Several feet from the edge of the pool.

She groaned, eyeing him with laughing anger. “You’re still going to make me get out of the water, aren’t you?”

He nodded as he unfolded the towel and started to dry off. “You might as well get used to walking around me naked. We’ll be seeing each other naked a lot over the next few days.”

Calista groaned, frustration and nervousness hitting her as a dual impact. “Have I mentioned how horrible you are?” she grumbled. But a moment later, she walked over to the stairs. For a moment, she remained under the water and he shook his head. “You know I can see everything under the water right?”

She sighed with resignation. “No, I hadn’t really thought about that,” she replied, then stood up and, with as much dignity as possible, stepped out of the pool. She walked over to the towel and picked it up, then whipped it open so that she could cover herself with it.

He laughed, stepping closer to wrap a strong arm around her waist. “See? Was that so hard?’ he asked.

Then he kissed her. It was another deep, soul searching, mind altering kiss, and she lifted onto her toes for more.
