A Forever Series Box Set: A Paranormal Reverse Harem-(Book 11-15) - Page 269

He pauses and lifts his head up to search my eyes in that way that he has that makes me feel like he is looking straight into my essence. “Anything, you’re my wife,” he says softly. “In fact, I have a surprise for you.”

I sit up with a huge grin and clap my hands eagerly. “What is it?” I ask.

“Patience, Aeval,” he says sternly. “Suck my cock first and then I will tell you.”

I give him a slight frown, but at his reprimanding look I drop my head and take him in my mouth. I flick my tongue over his tip and he roughly grips my hair, holding me in place while he rocks his hips, gently fucking my mouth. Something feels off about this. It feels like a punishment of sorts; it feels very familiar and I really don’t like it one bit. But I shake it off as he murmurs how much he loves me. He is my husband. He would never do anything to hurt me.

As I increase the speed of my tongue over his long length, he shudders and explodes in my mouth with a loud groan. He keeps his eyes closed and his hand in my hair as he drains every last drop into me for me to swallow. I try to pull away, but he holds me in place and looks down at me with a look on his face that makes me shiver... in the bad way.

“Better,” he says and releases me. “Your mouth can be put to much better use sometimes to service your King.”

I gape at him and his hurtful words. I wipe my mouth with the back of my hand, and I want to say that he isn’t my King, Drake is. But I am fearful of the repercussions of that. It is my duty, as his Queen, to be obedient and pliable. That is what Kalen has told me.

“Now,” he says with a smile that lights up his eyes and I smile tentatively back. “Your father has requested our presence in his lands for a celebratory feast. I will agree to this request and we will attend but you must remain by my side like a good, little wife.”

I nod eagerly, suddenly anxious to get out of these lands. Since I chose Kalen, it has been a whirlwind of activity around here and Delinda is more than a handful to keep me occupied, but now the thought of leaving, even for a short time, sounds like manna from heaven. I want to see my father for more than a few minutes and to soak up the Dark Fae atmosphere.

“Anything you say,” I tell him, and he grins at me, back to his fun-loving self. I don’t like it when he goes Light Fae King on me. It unnerves me and reminds me too much of his father and brother.

He launches himself at me with a whoop of delight and we spend the next few hours rolling around the bed.

The next day arrives and I find myself quite excited about the feast. Delinda is buzzing around me like an overly energetic bee and it makes me laugh with delight. I run my hand over my swelling belly and then catch myself. Kalen doesn’t want this child. I must start detaching myself from it so that I can hand it over to Constantine when the time comes. I heard via Lincoln that my father has let Constantine go in order to prepare for the arrival of his child. He will be so excited and for one moment I wish that I were there with him. But it is gone as quickly as

it came as Delinda squeals, “I can’t wait to see Grams and Grandpa!”

“Me either,” I say with a smile. “I am looking forward to this.”

“Just remember your promise to me,” Kalen whispers in my ear as he suddenly appears behind me.

“Whatever makes you think I would want to leave your side?” I ask him with a wicked smile, and it makes him happy. He bends down to kiss me, his hand brushing my bump, and he hastily removes himself from my personal space with a frown.

“How much longer?” he asks.

I shrug, as I really don’t know. A dark cloud forms over us and I reach out to him to try and dispel the mood. “Please don’t let this ruin our time,” I say quietly. “You know that I love you.”

“I do know,” he says. “But say it again and again as I will never tire of hearing it,” he adds with a sigh.

“I love you,” I answer with a smile and he kisses me, happy once more.

“Shall we?” he asks, extending his hand out for Delinda to grab onto.

I nod and with a slight flutter of nerves, that I don’t know where they came from, Kalen transports us to my father’s Kingdom.

Chapter 6

The Underworld, October 2014 - Xane

He’s holding it together. Just. He has grieved and he has ranted and raved, and he has killed and ripped apart everything he laid eyes on and none of it helped. The only thing that will help him now is to kill the people who did this to him and Xerxei and to rescue her from the Fae once and for all. He finally came to his senses enough to know that he couldn’t do that in the Castle where he had locked himself away, so he came back to Xerxei’s house to…well, he didn’t really know what to do. He didn’t expect to find all of this here.

“So about giving me my mark back,” Xane says, cutting the silence and directing his question to Remiel.

“Oh, I never said I could give it back,” Remiel answers.

“If it got transferred to Xander then it can be transferred back to its rightful owner,” Xane says.

“It wasn’t intentional, I can only assume that Fate had something to do with,” Remiel says with a smirk.

Xane sees red and hurls himself across the library, anxious to get his hands on this prick. He lands directly in front of Remiel and it incenses him that he sees no fear on his face. “I will fucking kill you,” Xane spits in his face.
