Playing with Words (Boggy Creek Valley 2) - Page 55

“That’s it, baby. God, you’re so beautiful when you come.”

With her lower lip tucked between her teeth, she moved faster.

“Oh God. Oh God. Yes!” she hissed when she climaxed.

To my utter disbelief, I was once again hard as a rock. I flipped her over and lost control. I fucked her hard and fast, and Greer begged for more. I loved it, and it didn’t take me long to come.

I dropped down to her side and dragged in gulps of air.

Greer suddenly started to laugh next to me.

“What’s so damn funny?” I asked.

She shook her head and turned to look at me. “We’re not going to be leaving this bed anytime soon, are we?”

I sat up, swung my legs over the bed and stood, gazing down at my exhausted dick. “That was a fluke. Come on, let’s shower and get some food in us. I have a feeling I’m going to need longer to recoup after that.”

Greer giggled and slid out of the bed. She went to reach for something to cover up, but I stopped her.

“Don’t cover yourself from me, Greer. You’re beautiful, and I want to see every inch of you.”

She nodded and let me guide her into the shower. We took turns cleaning each other off. As much as I wanted to make her come again, I figured we both needed a break—and needed to figure out what to eat for dinner, since we had blown off our reservations.

Greer wrapped a towel around her body and walked into my bedroom, laughing when she saw the pile of our clothes.

“Here, I’ve got this shirt for you. I’ll head down and make a salad while the lasagna heats up in the oven.”

She turned to face me, her brows lifting when I held out one of my T-shirts.

With a wink, I added, “You’ll be more comfortable.”

I left her to get dressed and headed down to the kitchen. My phone buzzed on the table, reminding me of the missed call from earlier. I picked it up to see it was a voicemail from Russ. I hit play as I turned on the oven and took out two of the frozen lasagna slices Greer had made for me the other day.

Russ’s voice filled the kitchen.

“How has the day off been going for you? I know I said take some time off but hoping you got a few more words in! Deadline is looming!”

I opened up my texts and sent him a quick reply.

Me: It’s been amazing. Stop bothering me. I came up here to get away from everything. You’ll get the damn book on time.

Tossing my phone back down onto the table, I took everything out to make a salad and quickly got to work.

“What do you want me to do?”

I glanced over my shoulder, and my breath caught at the sight of Greer standing there. Her brown hair was pulled up and piled on top of her head with a few loose strands hanging down. She had my T-shirt on, which fell to the middle of her thighs. Her lips were pink and swollen from our kisses, and the flush across her face said she was one satisfied woman.

“You look beautiful.”

The words were out of my mouth before I could even stop them. Not that I would have.

She blushed and looked down at the shirt. “I’m just in your T-shirt.”

“And your eyes are sparkling, your lips are pink, and there’s a color in your cheeks that I don’t think I’ve ever seen before.”

A wide grin moved over her face as she walked over, picked up a knife, and started to cut the cucumber I had just peeled. “You’re the one to thank for the color in my cheeks.”

“Is that right, Ms. Larson? Have I thoroughly satisfied you?”

She tilted her head and looked up at the ceiling as if in thought. She was so fucking adorable, I wanted to lift her up and sink back into her.

“Mmm. I did just have the best sex of my life.”

“Which time?” I asked with a smirk.

Her gaze quickly met mine. “Am I allowed to say each time was my best?”

I shook my head.

“That’s not fair,” she said. “Each time was so different, so amazing.”

My chest puffed up, and I let out a satisfied sigh. “Well, when you put it that way…”

She giggled and started to cut again, and I rinsed the lettuce before placing it onto a paper towel.

We chopped and cut veggies for the salad in a comfortable silence. Greer put the lasagna into the oven, turned and leaned against the counter while I finished up the rest.

“Hudson?”

I glanced up and looked at her. She had a serious expression on her face.

“What’s the matter?” I asked, walking around the counter to stand in front of her.

“Nothing,” she said with a slight laugh. “It’s just, I’ve never experienced anything like that before. Being with you felt…so different. It felt so…”
