To Awaken a Monster (In the Arms of Monsters 1) - Page 23

“I … erm … have you seen Bishop?”

“I think he’s out in the courtyard. Do you want me to go and get him?”

“No, it’s okay. It’s fine.”

“Let’s dance.” Without waiting for a response, Milly took Robin onto the dance floor. The music was so fucking slow, but she danced with the young woman.

Robin kept getting distracted, and Milly knew she had to wait for the right time.

“Do you want a drink?”

“Yes, please, I’m thirsty.”

She had to be careful now.

The first drink she gave Robin was free from anything. “I don’t drink alcohol.”

“Oh, this is just an orange juice.” She didn’t add that she’d also laced it with a lot of vodka.

They danced together for the next hour.

Milly kept on plying her with alcohol, and finally, on the last glass, she stirred in the powder, and handed it to Robin.

“I can’t believe we’ve never hung out before,” Robin said. “You’re an amazing dancer. Did you go to school here?”

“I’m a little too old to go to school. This is best drunk in one go.” She kept the glass poised at Robin’s lips. “Keep on drinking.”

Robin finished the drink, and Milly took the glass away.

Making sure she was near the door, she waited. It didn’t take long.

“I don’t feel so good.” Robin put a hand to her head.

“It’s okay. Let’s go and let you lie down.” Helping her out of the main clubhouse, she took her upstairs, finding the room she wanted.

Entering the room, Milly was happy to see it was vacant.

“Milly, what’s going on? Something isn’t right.”

“You’re right, it’s not. I’m sick and tired of watching you get everything when you’re nothing more than a fucking cunt. You’re exactly like me.”

Robin groaned. “What did you do?”

Shoving her down to the bed. “I’m going to make sure no one is ever going to look at you the same way again.”

Robin didn’t put up a fight. The drugs were working fast, and the moment she had her stripped naked, turned on her stomach, she smiled. Stage one of her plan was complete. Now, she just needed to deal with stage two.

No one should mess with her.

Slapping Robin’s ass, hard, she smirked.

This was proving to be a lot more fun than she realized.

Chapter Five

Preacher drank down the shot, letting the burn of the whiskey soothe his soul. It felt so fucking good. He let out a whoop as Bear handed him another.

“Are you trying to get me drunk?”

“I hate to break this to you, but you’re the father of an eighteen-year-old kid now. That makes you so freaking old, and I’m not going to let you miss a moment of it.”

“So getting me a drink is all part of your master plan?”

“It’s all part of a plan. I don’t think it’s a master one. However, we do have a little surprise for you later, but all in good time.”

Preacher downed another shot. He didn’t see a reason not to get drunk. Everyone was in the club, so he had no reason to worry about being called out. His kid had made it to eighteen, and there had been moments throughout the years when he’d wanted to fucking murder him.

All in all, a job well done.

He glanced across the parking lot to see his son with a different woman wrapped around him.

“Didn’t Robin come to the party?”

“Yeah, she’s probably in her room. I take it you heard about mine and Rebecca’s argument?” Bear asked.

“I heard it.” The entire clubhouse had heard it. He was done with the shot glass and finally grabbed the bottle of whiskey.

“Yeah, well, since then, I haven’t seen her.”

“I saw her,” Kid said, speaking up. “She was inside. Dancing with one of the blondes. I can’t remember her name. She’s the freaky one.” Kid snapped his fingers. “Nope. Don’t know her name.”

“They’re all fucking freaky,” Bear said. “I see how far I can make them go, you know. Kind of like a little test. Can I stick it hole A, B, C, or D?”

“What’s D?” Kid asked.

“Right between the tits. You fuck their tits and come all over the neck and face. Some women totally dig it, and of course some like to lick up the mess afterward.”

With the whiskey bottle empty, Preacher made his way inside toward the bar. He snapped open a beer, and took another drink. There was no other reason for him to not get completely wasted.

When was the last time he’d gotten drunk and not given a fuck to the consequences? There was only one other time he could think of, so maybe it was time to let off the drink. Bishop had been the result of his last drunken night.

“Hi, Preacher.”

He turned to see a happy, smiling Milly.

“What do you want?”

“I wanted to have a drink with you, you know, to celebrate your freedom.”

“My freedom?”

“Your son is now old enough. Legally an adult, and he can do what he wants, when he wants.”
