Crown of Ghosts (Lost Kings MC 19) - Page 59

I’ve never known a man with this much self-control.

He leans toward the nightstand, grasping at the top drawer until it slides open. My pussy throbs, eager to have him inside me, praying he’s going for a condom.

Finally, he grabs one and releases my hair to slide it on. “Get in the middle of the bed.”

I can’t scamper backwards fast enough. He climbs onto the bed, meeting me in the middle, and rests one hand on my hip. I nuzzle against him, kissing his neck and cheek. “Grayson, I want you inside me so much.”

He growls but still seems conflicted. “I don’t know where to start.”

I cup his cheeks, staring into his eyes. “Kiss me, and we’ll go from there.”

He leans in and roughly takes my mouth, driving his fingers through my hair to hold me the way he wants. I grasp his shoulders, desperate to hold onto something as he devours my mouth. He pulls me down to the bed, our legs tangling, mouths still fused together—wild and all-consuming.

I arch my body against him, needing to feel more of his skin on mine. The crisp hairs on his chest, tickling my breasts. His hands digging into my hips. I spread my legs and lift, inviting him in.

With a restraint I didn’t think he’d be capable of, he presses into me inch by inch. My eyes roll back in my head. Finally, finally.

I never want this to end.

“Fuck.” He drops his forehead to mine and squeezes his eyes shut. “You feel so good, buttercup.”

I tease my lips against his. “You too.” I squeeze my inner muscles and he groans. “You fit me just right.”

At first, he fucks slowly, teasingly. Gray still wants to savor every moment. Never rushing.

He studies my reactions. As if pleasing me feels better than fucking me. I’ve never been with someone so tuned in to what brings me pleasure. The intimacy overwhelms and scares me in equal measure. His soulful eyes study me until I have to look away.

“No, stay with me, Serena.” He stops thrusting and slowly grinds himself against my clit, setting off sparks.

“I’m here.” I curl my hands around his neck. He cups my cheek and holds my gaze, reinforcing our connection.

A swell of lust rises inside me, building into a storm of sensation and emotion. He hammers his hips into me harder, sending me spiraling into a screaming orgasm.

“That’s it. Scream as loud as you want.” He dips down and sucks at my neck, dragging his teeth over my pulse. My heart thunders, blood roaring through my ears. His thrusts turn savage, dragging out my release or triggering a new one. I can’t tell. Tiny pulses of pleasure fire between my legs, flowing outward.

“Gray, ahhh, oh my God, I’m coming again.”

“Goddamn.” He sucks in a harsh breath. His whole body shakes, on the edge of release. He pumps into me erratically and groans, dropping his head onto my shoulder. A look of utter peace and satisfaction melts over his expression. Tension drains from his body.

He kisses my cheeks and my forehead. I drag my fingers over his shoulders and along his spine. He lifts himself off me, stretching along my side so we’re still glued together.

“Did I hurt you?”

I swing my lust-drunk puppy eyes his way. “Not at all.” Laughing, I rock my hips. “I didn’t think I could come that many times in a row.”

A feral grin spreads across his face. “That right?”

“Yes.” I roll closer and rest my cheek against the curve of his bicep.

Warm and content, I snuggle into the protection of his arms and one thought throbs through my mind—I’ve never felt so cherished in my life.

Chapter Nineteen

Serena

Sunlight stabs my eyes.

I turn over and burrow under the pillows to get away from the brightness.

Wait, why is it so bright in here?

Soft, crisp sheets. Clean scent. Different from my lavender-scented bedding.

I blink my eyes open. Grayson’s bedroom. A smile curves my lips as images from last night warm my body. At some point, he’d given me a sleeveless tank top to sleep in. It’s a few sizes too big; my breasts are now spilling out of the sides. I shift, readjusting myself, and open my eyes wider.

I’m alone.

Did he leave me alone in his bed again?

After such a beautiful night, he had to get away from me first thing in the morning.

What is it about me that repels him so much once the sun comes up?

Hurt and furious, I fling the sheets away and stalk out of the bedroom.

The rich scent of freshly brewing coffee hits my nose.

He’s here.

Light spills out of the kitchen. The bang of a frying pan. A sizzle and pop. The scrape of metal.

Is he…making breakfast?

The bathroom’s across the living room to my right, the kitchen to my left. I need a moment to arrange myself, so I scurry to the right, quietly closing the door behind me.
