The Reign of Rain Robinson - Page 237

Psych may have left Mobley’s house with half of what he went there for, but he still came away without a plan for how he was gonna get out of the mess he found himself in. Therefore, with no other option available to him, Psych decided to take Mobley’s advice and lay low until Mobley got whatever going. He rounded up what was left of his crew, Marques, Clendon, Jovan, Sheik and Demont, ar

med themselves to the teeth and headed north on the Major Deegan.

He had a house there where his grandparents used to live that was about to be taken due to unpaid taxes. He paid the taxes and planned to use the house as a hideout for sexual rendezvouses with the opposite sex, but that never happened. Now it would make a good hideout from RJ and Marvin.

When they arrived at the house and got settled in with food and liquor, Clendon made a suggestion.

“Since we gonna be up here for who knows how long, we should have brought some ho’s up here to this bitch. I ain’t trying to be looking at you hard legs all day.”

“You wouldn’t know what to do with a bitch if she was standing here butt ass naked and you had an owner’s manual,” Demont said and everybody laughed.

“Fuck you, niggas. I gets mine.”

“Y’all niggas kill that noise. I got the shit handled. Before we rode out, I put in a call to somebody I know.” He glanced at his watch. “You niggas should have all the pussy you can handle in about an hour,” Psych said, but that was a big mistake.

Marvin wanted Psych bad. So bad he could taste it. After his talk with Black, he understood that not only was his reputation on the line, but his position in The Family as well, so he had to get him. It wasn’t enough that everybody knew that Money Marv was looking for Psych and that everybody knew that Psych was hiding. He had to kill Psych so there would be no doubt in anybody’s mind about what they could expect if they decided to try him.

With word out in the streets, the kings had been getting calls about Psych sightings that they followed up on and came away empty, but they were about to catch a break when Judah’s phone rang.

“Hello, Judah.”

“Yeah, who is this?”

“It’s Cokie.”

“Cokie?”

“I used to work at the house for your father,” Cokie reminded Judah.

“I know who you are, Cokie.” He remembered her and what she did at the house. “What’s up?”

“I heard you and your set is lookin’ for Psych and them.”

“Yeah, what about it?”

“You know I went independent, so I don’t work for your daddy no more, right?”

“I know I ain’t seen you around in a minute.”

“Well Psych is a client of mine and he called me and wanted me and five women to come out to some house in Yonkers.”

“What you tell him?” Judah asked.

“I said I would call him back when I got the five women,” Cokie said.

“Okay, call him back and tell him you got the women, get the address and call me back.”

“Okay,” Cokie said and ended the call. When she called back, she gave Judah the address. “What about me?”

“What about you?”

“I stand to lose a chunk of money by handing these niggas up to you. A little compensation and appreciation would be nice.”

“I got you, Cokie. You tell me how much tonight cost you, multiply that by ten and I got you,” Judah said, ended the call and told Pills where they were going.

In anticipation of the arrival of the women, things were starting to get wild in Yonkers. The music was pounding, the liquor was flowing, cocaine and weed were being consumed like they were going off the market that day. Everybody in the house was fucked up and waiting for the women to arrive.

“Y’all ready?” RJ asked when Pills parked the car down the street from Psych’s house. They were suited up and heavily armed.
