The First Sin (Sins of the Past 1) - Page 48

Sonny licked his lips. “Oh, I am.”

I was never sure what kind of girls Sonny liked or if he even liked fucking girls. He was an odd man. The only girl he’d ever shown any interest in over the years was Gia. There was no denying that Sonny loved Gia in more than a sisterly way. But I couldn’t blame him with how close all of us had grown up.

“Behave,” I told Sonny. “Don’t go doing any stupid shit while I’m gone.”

He rolled his eyes at me. “Never.”

“You have that creepy look in your eyes, the one you get when you watch bondage porn.”

“I’d love to tie her to my bed,” Sonny said about Connor’s girl.

I tapped him on the shoulder, about to walk away. “Save that shit for another night.”

I found Gia out back of O’Shea’s, propped up against the brick wall with her arms across her chest. Her perky tits were pushed up, some cleavage spilling out the top.

“Hey, beautiful,” I said, walking up to her.

She turned her head and smiled. “Hey yourself.”

I knew she would be the death of me, but I still reached for her, wrapping my arms around her middle. Gia ran her hands underneath my jacket, feeling my muscles over the fabric.

“It’s been too long,” she said under her breath. “I missed you.”

“I miss you every day. I fucking hate this.”

“Marry me already, Angelo. We could hop on a plane and go to Vegas.”

“Is that what you really want? A cheap wedding with an Elvis impersonator. Ma would have a stroke and so would your dad.”

“I don’t care anymore how we do it.”

Her lips turned into a cute pout, but her eyes gutted me. They held so much sadness my stomach hurt from seeing her in pain. I loved inflicting pain but only in the bedroom. I hated seeing her so miserable. Our feelings were mutual, though I hid mine better.

“I care. I know you will, too. Maybe not today, but someday, you will. I don’t want you to look back on our wedding day and wish we’d waited and regret your decision to elope with me.”

I swiped a curl from her eyes, and she tilted her head to the side. That was my cue to kiss her neck. I opened my mouth to rake my teeth along her delicate skin. A moan escaped from her mouth, and as it did, she hooked her leg around my thigh, pushing me into her.

“I’m marrying you, Gianna. One way or another we will be together. I don’t care who I have to kill to make it happen.”

She looked so fucking pretty with her soft curls framing her face. As usual, she had no makeup on, just that pink gloss that made me think of her leaving an imprint of the shade on my cock.

I pressed my palm on the wall behind her and leaned in until our lips brushed together. We stood there, breathing against each other’s lips, not moving. I thought of our first kiss when we were kids and the look in her eyes when I placed my hand on the small of her back. Gia was the key to every good memory I had. She was the only good thing in my life.

“I have to get back in there before Connor notices,” she said against my lips.

Her breath sent a shiver throughout my body. I missed this closeness with her. Molding my body to hers, I pinned her between the wall and my muscular frame. I dug my erection into her stomach. She was so tiny in comparison to me, so small I’d wished I could fit her into my pocket so I could steal her away.

“Sneak out later. I need to see you without your babysitter hovering over you.”

“Connor’s taking me home at two. Help me sneak out my window around three.”

“Your window is on the top floor. How do you suppose I will get you down from there and back up again by morning?”

“A ladder. Don’t be silly. Bring one with you.”

“I’ll have to borrow Sonny’s Escalade. I can’t fit one

in my car.”
