The Beast King (Royal Aliens 3) - Page 9

That mollified his pride somewhat. His vessel was so outstanding that even a complete ingenue from a distant world recognized it as something special. He was torn as to what to do with this human. He had dismissed her as being too weak and small to be worthy of his attraction, but when he touched her, he did not feel weakness. He felt a lot of strength and hope bound up in a very small, particularly fascinating package.

Humans were something of a conversation piece from time to time. Distant, semi-sentient, on a planet barely able to contain their ambition, some regarded them as amusements, others as potential future threats. Konan was in the latter camp. Any creature of power had to be wary of and ready for challengers.

This little human with her soft, flowing dark locks and earth-hued eyes partially obscured by plastic lenses had the potential to be dangerous. She didn’t look like it. She looked plain and simple, but plain and simple things did not find their way onto Konan’s ship.

“Why do you cover your eyes with plastic shards?”

“My eyes cannot focus properly without them, sire.”

He snorted. A basic augmentation for a basic beast of a female. One part of him knew she was no threat. She should be put off the ship, and his ill-fated attempts at negotiation with Dominax resumed. But he didn’t want to let her go. His hand kept gripping her hair, his eyes would not leave her frightened face.

“You’re a spy,” he repeated.

She was not a spy, but there was no way to prove a negative, especially to a king who had already made his mind up about her. He released her hair and let her slump back down onto the ground as he returned to the matters at hand.

Elizabeth found herself once more sprawled on the floor at the feet of a king who was in very poor temper and looked as though that was more or less his general state of affairs. Grumpy, if such a word could be used to describe a beastly creature with aggressive scales across the brow and nose, and features of such harshly perfect royalty they made her insides quiver. Long hair on earth men could be hit or miss. On this alien, it highlighted the incredible masculinity of his features, the high cheekbones, the powerful jaw apparent even under the beard, the general majesty of his appearance simultaneously feral and yet refined. He looked like he could be a professional wrestler, or a runway model, or… a king.

She couldn’t stop internally narrating his appearance, perhaps because she wanted her story to live on after her inevitable demise, or perhaps because he was the singularly most attractive creature she had ever laid eyes on in spite of his horrendous temperament.

“The easiest way to deal with a spy is to throw them out the airlock,” Konan said, distracting her from romantic thoughts with a cruel threat.

“Please. No. Anything but that. You should read what I’ve written. It’s poetic. You might want me as an entertainer. I can be very entertaining, sire.”

He glowered at her. “If you so much as attempt to read poetry, I will put you directly in the airlock.”

She fell silent, sensing that pain and probably death were in her very near future.

“You do have a certain physical appeal about you, human. Your air hole is in your mouth hole. Is your fuck hole in the same place? Is it one big all-purpose orifice?”

“Uhm…”

She blushed. Was she really going to have to give this alien king a lesson in human sexual biology?

“You may be of physical use to me. Did you know humans are among the most sexually promiscuous species in all the universe?”

She wondered how he could know that, but not know how she was formed. She supposed it was like reading articles on the internet and thinking you understood things. You got bits and pieces right, but you still didn’t really know how to fuck the situation.

His accusation, or rather, declaration of her species’ carnal habits was not far off the mark. Her body had been roiling with responses to him from the moment they’d met. Maybe it was a human trait to ready oneself to fuck anything powerful and strange.

“What will it be, human? Will you pleasure the king’s rod? Or will you admit that you are a spy?”

She swallowed nervously, not knowing what to say. She was not a spy, and admitting to being one did not sound like it would be a good idea. Also, having spent many months completely alone on an alien world, she was absolutely starved of intimate touch. The king was offering her something she had been craving, but it came with a side of terrible fear.

“Let me show you, human,” he said, pushing at the fastenings of his pants.
