While She Sleeps - Page 61

“Fuck, Vera,” Logan grunts. “I can’t hold back for much longer.” His voice drips with pleasure, with pure, unadulterated need. He moves slowly, his hips driving into mine at such a steady pace I’m certain he’s trying to make this last longer.

“Please,” I manage to whimper, and a feral growl rumbles in his throat. His body is taut, his arms rigid at my sides as he looks down at me. He’s heavy, fucking me into the mattress, but I love it. Every second of his cock thrusting into me makes my body hum with pleasure. I didn’t think it would be like this, that he’d be able to do this with me half awake, but he is.

“Fuck, your cunt is so tight, so warm and wet,” he tells me through gritted teeth. “I’ve never experienced anything like this,” he admits, and my heart soars. Emotion thickens in my throat, and I blink back the tears of happiness. I’ve given him something nobody else could.

“Fuck me, Logan,” I plead, and he does. His body moves quickly. His cock sliding in and out with every thrust, as he hits my G-spot. The motion sends my body spiraling into the abyss of pleasure, and I grip the sheets with my fists. I tug at the material as my legs spread wider before my ankles lock behind his ass.

“Jesus, Vera, I’m going to come,” he murmurs in a low grunt, and I nod, but I can’t tell what’s happening because Logan reaches between us and circles my clit, pressing down on the bundle of nerves before pinching it, causing me to cry out, and then I feel his warmth filling me. “Drench me, Vera. Give me all your sweet juices,” Logan coaxes as he continues thrusting, and my body shakes as I feel the pulsing deep within me.

“Oh god,” I cry out when he pinches my clit once more, and I come hard. My toes curl, my fingers find purchase on his shoulders, and my nails dig into the strong muscles as I claw at him. Every nerve-ending in my body is blazing—sparking and sizzling with pleasure. “Logan . . .” I murmur his name, but no other words come, and finally, he stops moving.

We lie there for a long while in the silence. Our breaths mingling, becoming one. He’s warm, heavy, holding me down just like I imagined so many times before. The need for him to take me has finally come, and he gave me so much more.

“Please don’t be angry,” I plead while I look directly into his dark eyes. “I just needed you. And I didn’t know any other way to do it. I craved you so much that—”

His mouth crashes on mine, stealing every other apology I was about to spew, and his tongue seeks entrance, which I give gladly. We kiss with an energy that makes me tremble beneath him. Logan hikes himself onto his elbows as he hovers over me. His lips mold to mine, our tongues dueling for dominance, but I submit, offering him me, all of me.

When he finally breaks away, his gaze penetrates me down to my very soul. “You shouldn’t have done that without my permission.”

“I’m a big girl, Logan,” I tell him confidently. “I can do something if I feel I want to. And I needed you to see that I’m not fragile or broken. But most importantly, I had to make you see that this” — I gesture between us — “is not a bad thing. We are meant to be together. You fit with me, and I with you.”

He looks at me as if he’s still torn. For a moment, I think he’s going to push away from me and tell me I need to leave, but then he nods. “I went to see my father,” he admits before rolling over and pulling me into his arms. His warmth coats my thighs as if he’s marked me inside and out. His strong, inked arms wrap around me, holding me hostage as he speaks. “He does have a contract with your father, but it’s not what either of us thought.”

“What do you mean?” I lift onto my elbow, needing to look him in the eye. There’s darkness in his expression, his brows pinch together, and his body is rigid. “Logan, tell me.”

“I read the contract, went through every word, and he’s laying claim to our first-born son if we have one. He said he knew we’d find each other again, and if we didn’t, he would’ve captured you, kept you in the house until I returned.”

“I don’t understand.”

“Neither do I. He is convinced that our son, will be the heir to the Oakridge fortunes. But what I don’t understand is what he’ll gain from it. Granted, my father doesn’t love me, that much is clear, but what I don’t get is why he wants us to have a son for him to claim.”
