Fondle My Beard - Chasing Dreams - Page 11

On the plane, we hold hands. He rests while I think. I am so ready to begin the rest of our lives together. Nothing can come between us and that’s what I’ve been ready for since the moment we met.

Epilogue

Mitch

Eight Months Later

“Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, for the very first time, Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Halstead,” the DJ announces as we enter our reception hand in hand. Our guests applaud and cheer loudly as we do. We’ve been married for about eight months and thirty minutes but no one, not even our parents know that. We’ve spent the last little while taking pictures. When she walked down the aisle to me in her tight white dress, it reminded me of the first day we met. She’s gorgeous and now she’s all fucking mine. No one can take her from me. The one difference from that day to this one is that she’s five months pregnant with my baby and her belly has just started to pooch out. I’ve tied her to me in all ways now. Her long, red hair is a riot of curls and I hadn’t seen it like that before. My fingers itch to get in those curls and mess them up.

Leaning down, I kiss her cheek before rasping, “I love you, wife” into her ear.

“I love you too,” she says smiling at me brightly.

After we sit, the caterer begins to serve dinner. We are alone at a small round table. Once everyone has been served, we dig in then speeches begin. Edwin, my best friend from the team, begins with a story about my first game and ends it by talking about the playoffs last season. I suppose that could have gone in another direction with stories of the parties we had when I first joined the team. Gwen is the maid of honor and her speech is about hearts and wildflowers, which totally makes sense. They’ve become inseparable. They are more like sisters than best friends. We eat, dance, take more pictures, and we are about to be alone for the first time in two fucking days. We’re going to Hawaii for our honeymoon. I told her to pick anywhere in the world and that’s where she chose. She wants to see all of America before we go to more exotic places.

Just as we are about to walk out the door, we find Gwen and Kylie’s brother, Wes, arguing in the coat check room. Immediately, I’m on guard to protect my sister but before I can say anything, Wes speaks.

“I thought I told you last night you were mine, Gwen. Mine. I’ll wait forever to have you, but don’t tempt me into action by flirting with waiters. That motherfucker is out there thinking he has a chance with you. Little girls get into trouble when they play with fire.”

“You’re one to talk about flirting, you asshole. I saw you talking to that woman. And I’m not a little girl, Wesley,” she spits.

“You are for another ninety-one days, six hours twenty minutes,” he answers after looking at his watch. “And you know my name isn’t Wesley, tigress. You should also know that woman was my cousin Sylvia.” His name is Westmeath oddly enough. In fact, all of her brothers are named after counties in Ireland. Weird, but to each their own.

“Cousin? Wait! You’re actually counting down?” she says instead.

“We should go. This seems private,” Kylie whispers in my ear standing on her tiptoes to do so.

“Private? What the fuck? She’s a minor.” I’m ready to bust this shit up. Kylie rolls her eyes.

“Trust me. My brother, the detective, knows that, husband. She’s safe with him.”

I know she’s right, but she’s my baby sister. Gemma came home married to a Montana fireman for fucks sake. Just up and married. If I can’t protect my sisters, how the fuck can I protect my daughter? I wonder as we walk past the room and continue outside.

“Little girls grow up, Mitch. They don’t need protection forever,” Kylie says as I help her into the limo making me realize I must have said that out loud. “You know damn well if I hadn’t wanted all of my brother’s in attendance, we would have gotten married the fourth day we knew each other, when you proposed. If Kildare hadn’t been on a mission, we’d be celebrating our eight-month anniversary right now instead of having this party to appease our families, and you know it.”

“I know,” I grumble knowing just how right she is. It’s been our only point of contention. I understand why we pretended not to be married, but now I am ready to shout from the rooftops that she’s been mine all this time.

“So why don’t we forget about them and start our honeymoon now?” She asks, rubbing her palm on my cock through my pants. My rapidly hardening cock is begging for attention from her. She expertly unzips me and takes my dick out. She leans down and sucks it into the back of her throat. The sensation is more than I can bear after two days of not being inside of her.
