My Fake Fling - Page 63

She was the first to go, crying out and digging her nails into my shoulders as her body jerked and convulsed. I held on to her to keep her from falling away. My own climax hit hard. My head was thrown back in the throes of ecstasy. Just beyond the cloth canopy we were under, I could see the canopy of stars high above us. I very literally saw stars.

Her body collapsed against mine. Her face nuzzled against my neck while I held her close to me. My heart was pounding so hard I feared I might be on the brink of a heart attack.

“Good god,” she groaned. “I don’t remember it being like that.”

“Me either,” I gasped. I was struggling to catch my breath. Technically I had done nothing but sit and enjoy the ride. It felt like I had run a mile in four minutes.

“This was probably a bad idea,” she said.

“Does it have to be bad?” I asked.

“I don’t know. I don’t know what it is.”

“Rich is going to kill me,” I said with resignation.

“Do you plan on telling him?” she asked. “I sure as hell don’t tell my brother everything—or everyone—I do.”

“Are you implying there’s a long list of someones you’ve done?” I teased.

“Are you asking because you’re jealous?” she countered.

“No.”

“Should we get into how many people you’ve been with?” she asked.

“No. Let’s not go down that road. I won’t say anything to Rich.”

“And neither will I,” she replied. “This will be our little secret.”

“Does that mean we can continue to make more secrets?” I asked hopefully.

“Is that something you want to do?” she questioned.

She pulled away to look down at me. I reached up and cupped her face in my hand. “I do.”

“And we don’t have to talk about what it means or put a label on anything, right?” she asked.

I shrugged away my disappointment. “I don’t see why we would have to.”

She nodded once. “Okay. Ally would kill me if she knew we did this.”

“But I’d like to still keep up the whole fake dating thing,” I clarified. “You’ve been a huge help with keeping the media focused on the project instead of me. But I still want us to see each other. To Ally and Rich, we’re faking it. Only we will know this is happening.”

She opened her mouth and quickly snapped it shut. “And we’re not going to try and dissect what’s happening?”

I shook my head. “Not yet. Let’s not ruin a good thing.”

She smiled and gave me a quick kiss before pushing off me. “Works for me. I’m getting dressed before one of your very attentive servers decides to check on you. I’m not trying to be the after-dinner show.”

I grinned and leaned forward to get a better look at her naked body rushing around to pick up her scattered clothing. “It’s a show I’d pay a million dollars to see again.”

She stepped into her panties. “Are you going to drive me home like that?”

“Would that bother you?” I said.

“It might be a little distracting.”

“Are you saying you’re distracted by my naked body?” I stayed on the couch and made no move to cover myself. I was a confident man. Sitting on an isolated rooftop in my birthday suit with a woman I wanted to fuck again and again was not an issue for me.
