“Absolutely,” Jake said. “These will be back in your hands by then. I’m looking forward to whatever comes next. You guys are standing on the edge of something great. I can feel it.”
The enthusiasm in the room as we all shook hands made my insides vibrate with excitement. We walked them out to the elevators, and once they were gone, I turned to Jake.
“Is it really a good thing that they have all these other investors, or were you just saying that?”
Jake smiled. “For the most part it is a good thing, but it does mean that if we fall out of favor, there’s lower risk for them to lose us because they have money coming in from other avenues.”
That made sense.
“So, in other words, we can’t drop the ball.”
He held up the paperwork. “In other words, we have to make sure this gets done right and on time. Then it’s smooth sailing.”
