“You’re terrible,” I said, my voice half-moan.
“No, I’m wonderful,” he said, pushing my panties aside. I pulled up my skirt and widened my legs to give him more access.
“Oh, my dirty girl. Tell me you want me inside you,” he said. I loved it when he said that. It never got old. He would be saying it for the rest of our lives. There was so much comfort in that. So much excitement.

When Lucah wanted something, he went after it with single-minded determination and didn’t stop until he’d gotten what he wanted. In this instance, he wanted me to have an earth-shattering orgasm and that was what he got.
I shuddered for what felt like forever. The storm finally subsided and I looked down at him.
“Pleased with yourself, are you?” I said, a little breathless.
“I take my job very seriously, Miss Clarke. It’s my duty as your sexcretary to see you fully satisfied.” Was I ever. I’d never had such sexual chemistry with anyone before. I’d never known that this kind of sexual chemistry existed outside of a movie or maybe a porno, but those people were usually faking it. I’d never had to fake anything with Lucah. Sure there were nights when I had too much on my mind, or I was tired and I didn’t quite get there, but he gave it his best effort and his ego wasn’t wounded if we stopped. He was good that way.
I handed him a tissue to wipe his mouth as he stood up and I tried to put myself together again. I knew my face was flushed and even if I put my entire outfit back in place, it would still be obvious that something had gone on between us.
Pulling a mirror out of my desk, I checked my hair to make sure it was still pulled back. Lucah had done it for me this morning. He did my hair a lot, which saved me from having to. Plus, he was good at it. If we had a girl, he was definitely going to be in charge of getting her ready.

“You look like you just saw a ghost,” Lucah said, chuckling. I wished I hadn’t been facing him when I thought that thing about having a daughter. The part that had made me so shocked was that I could see it. I could picture her. She’d have his hair and my eyes and be a little neurotic, but also creative. She’d climb trees and sing and ride horses and be a ball of fire. I pictured her running into to the bathroom while I was getting ready for work and asking me to do her hair. Lucah would come in behind me and grab a brush to do it as I showed her how to apply lipstick.
It was so vivid, so real. Like I’d seen it in a movie. I shook myself and put on what I hoped was a confident smile.
“Just thought I felt a little breeze from a run, but it looks like I’m okay,” I said, reaching down and running my hands up and down my pantyhose. I was terrible about snagging them, but Lucah was adept at getting them off me and keeping them intact. He was just way more talented than I was in that department.
“No, I made sure I didn’t leave any evidence. Other than in your cheeks and in your eyes.” He brushed two fingers down the side of my face and then gave me one soft kiss. I could still taste myself on his lips and it made me want to shove him into my chair and return the favor. But we both had work to do and if we were caught, we’d both be in big trouble.
“I’ll see you later,” I said, putting my hand on his chest and pushing him back so I could restrain myself.
He sighed and then went for the door handle.
“See you later, Miss Clarke.”

The second after Lucah left my office, there was a knock at my door and I went to open it, assuming it was Lucah again, asking for another kiss. Nope. It was my dad.
My face instantly went twelve shades of red and I looked frantically around to make sure there wasn’t any evidence of what I’d just been doing with Lucah on my desk.
“Hi, Dad,” I said, my voice too high. I was probably smiling like a maniac too. CALM DOWN, RORY.
“Hello, Rory. Is something wrong?” This was the second time in just a few minutes that I was going to have to hide what I was thinking. I shook my head back and forth and tried to smile normally.
“Nope. Just a lot of work.” Work, right. I motioned for him to sit down and went to my chair.
Dad sighed and leaned back in the chair, crossing one of his legs over the other.
“I just wanted to talk to you about Friday. Lucah came to me and asked if he could take you away for the day and I thought it was so sweet. I couldn’t say no. Now if you did this all the time, that would be something else, but I worry about you working so hard with everything else you have going on.” As progressive as he was, sometimes my dad could be old-fashioned in his views on women. I knew, deep down, if I had been a son, he wouldn’t be saying that to me now. When I was growing up, I used to wonder if he’d been sorry that I was a girl instead of a boy to inherit his legacy. I’d never said it out loud, but I couldn’t help thinking it.
“It’s not a big deal. I’m just a little wary with him when it comes to surprises and secrets. You can understand why.” He nodded and clasped his hands together.
“Of course. I could just sense that there was some tension between you two and I didn’t want to be the cause of it.” That made me melt a little.
