Usually, I would have said no, but it was different with Madi. The truth was that I didn't want anyone else looking at her. I wanted her body to be for my eyes only. Even though she didn't know it, I was going to make her mine.
"Yes," I said as I realized she'd been staring at me, waiting for an answer while I'd been taking in the sight of her. "No one needs to be looking at you like that while you're trying to work."
"I'll remember that," she said and smiled at me once more. "Where should I get changed?"
"You can use my office," I said as my eyes lingered on her body and her sweet face a little longer. "I'll step out. I need to take care of some things anyway."
"Thank you," she said happily.
I nodded and walked out of my office before I closed the door behind me.She's going to be trouble for me.I knew it the moment she breezed through my door and I knew it even more now.
I didn't have a lot of rules in my life. Growing up, I'd never been given a ton, except be loyal to the family and keep the business going. Therewasone rule I had developed for myself though: Never sleep with an employee and definitely don't date them.
It created a messy situation where things crashed and burned at an alarming rate. I'd done it once before, I'd watched it happen countless times around me and I knew the way it could destroy a business. I wasn't about to let that happen.
Or at least I never wanted to let it happen. Madi made my head go to places it hadn't gone in ages and I wanted her. She was so sweet, so gorgeous, and I was going to make her mine.
