I flushed, feeling embarrassed. “I don’t know why…” My words trailed off as I tried to explain myself. Why was it so hard to put into words that I had liked it so much?
Hunter brushed the hair from my face, running his touch along my heated cheeks. “Don’t be shy, flower, it’s normal.”

When I didn’t respond, he moved back, slowly pulling out of me. I had the sudden urge to throw the blanket over my head, and you know what? The second Hunter was off the bed, I did just that. I covered myself head to toe with the covers, wondering how on earth I could ever face that jerk Miles again. Wasn’t it bad enough we hated each other?
Hunter laughed. “It’s going to take more than that to pretend it didn’t happen.” I could hear him throwing his shirt back on, and then he zipped his jeans up. “I’ve gotta be down there with the guys, beauty.”
“Okay.”
“I’ll see you in a little while.”
I nodded, which just caused the blanket to shuffle to and fro. I heard his quiet laughter again as he left the room, until I was alone with my thoughts and…confusion.
