ELOISE

We’ve spent all day in bed, napping, eating, watching television, and hanging out with each other. It was nice, and it’s something we have never been able to do before. We didn’t have to worry about sneaking around because of the island. We can spend the entire day in Alistair’s villa without anyone caring.

I let out a groan as I stretch my muscles. “I have to head back to my place,” I tell Alistair, who stiffens beside me in the bed.

“I thought you were staying?” he asks as his brows pull together. The disappointment on his face is so cute.

I lean in and place a light kiss against his lips. But Alistair won’t have that, and next thing I know, he’s flipping me onto my back and deepening the kiss. His hand is cupping my face as his tongue does wild things to my mouth. This man knows how to kiss. He’s forceful yet tender.

Eventually, I pull myself away from him.

“Stay,” he asks me tenderly.

“I am. I just need to grab my things,” I tell him.

“You’re not going to need anything. I can’t imagine we are going to be in clothes much,” he says, grinning down at me.

“Is that so?”

He nods as his mouth comes down and begins to kiss the tender skin across my neck. My body comes alive again under his lips, but I need to tell Lauren I won’t be back, and I want to check in on Sierra. His mouth trails down over my collarbone and down between the valley of my breasts.

“Hold that thought,” I tell him, stopping him from continuing further.

Alistair pouts his lips and gives me puppy dog eyes as he looks up at me.

“Let me do what I’ve got to do, then I’m all yours, okay?” He continues pouting. “Would you stop that?” I chuckle, trying not to give in to him because I can feel myself starting to.

His finger lazily moves around my nipple again as he bites his bottom lip and raises a brow at me, daring me to stop him.

“Alistair,” I say, warning him.

He totally ignores me and continues teasing, but he says with a smile, “You can leave anytime.”

“Then why are you making it so hard?”

“Why are you making it so hard?” He grins.

Oh my god, he’s too much. I roll over on top of him and catch him off guard as I hold his wrists above his head. “Give me thirty, and I’ll be back, and you can do whatever you want to me then.” I lean down, pressing another kiss to his lips before jumping off him.

He lets out a groan of frustration as he watches me get dressed. “Fine, you win,” he says, rolling his eyes. “I’ll be here waiting for you, with a dick that doesn’t seem to want to go down while he’s around you.”

“Good! I’ll make great use of him when I get back.” I smile as I give him a wave and rush out of his villa.

It’s dark by the time I leave, and luckily, I know my way through the dense rainforest after all these months on the island. At first, it took me a while to get used to the island and the sounds at night from all the tropical birds. I was used to the city sounds of sirens, people shouting, and traffic. Also, it was hard to get used to how dark it is at night. Pure darkness can be disorientating. I don’t think I’ve ever seen total darkness like this in London. And the stars are incredible, and when you look up and see the billions of tiny specks across the night sky, they are magnificent.

It doesn’t take me long to get to my villa, and I can see the light is on. I open the door and walk inside. Lauren’s sitting on the couch alone watching television, and she turns to see who has entered the villa. When she knows it’s me, her eyes widen, and a grin falls across her face.

“You whore, where the hell have you been?” she asks.

“How’s Sierra?” I ask first.

“She’s fine! Flown to the mainland with a broken ankle. She’ll be back in a couple of months,” she explains.

“Well, damn, that sucks. I was hoping to check in on her. I’ll have to send her a text.”

“So?” Lauren asks, looking me up and down as she raises a brow. “You disappeared for hours. That massage sure waslooong.” She grins.
