ALISTAIR

Once I hit send on my request, I start to freak the fuck out. Not sure why but I get in my head that I’ve just ordered a prostitute. I’ve never done that before. Never once have I had to pay for sex. Technically, I know I’m not paying for sex, but the membership fee includes sex, so is that the same? But then again, I never paid for a membership so does that mean Alex bought me sex?

Yeah, I’m freaking out.

So what!

Who cares who did what and when?

Everything that’s happened over these past months seems to have hit me all at once. I haven’t been with anyone since finding out about Miranda. My only release has been found via my hand, which is sad.

But how can I trust another woman after what Miranda did to me?

How can Ievertrust anyone else around my brother?

No. I need to stay single.

No good can ever come from being in a relationship.

So this club is better—no strings or expectations attached.

I can do that.

I think?

What happens if Miranda has fucked me up so much mentally that I won’t be able to get it up with another woman?

What kind of loser can’t get their dick hard at a sex club? Probably this loser here, who’s having a panic attack like a princess.

Maybe I should cancel my order?

“She’s not a fucking bag of fries, Ali,” I curse at myself.

Okay, I’m officially losing it—I am talking to myself.

The sound of a door opening behind me has me turning around quickly, and my breath hitches at the gorgeous woman standing before me. My dick twitches to life, and the stress of the last ten minutes begins to subside from my shoulders as I take in this woman. She’s tall, about five-nine in heels. She has a mane of strawberry blonde curls cascading around her like spun rose gold, then there are her jade green eyes that appear like jewels set against creamy porcelain skin.

My eyes shift further down over her body, taking in the black slip dress that is molded to her like a second skin. Her breasts look natural from here, the swell of her cleavage spilling over the low-cut neckline. My eyes travel further down over her svelte body to where the dress hits at the top of her thighs. I don’t even think she could bend over in that dress without exposing herself. I wonder if she will show me? I bite my bottom lip as my eyes travel further to her incredibly long legs in a pair of killer black heels.

“You look a little stressed,” the girl states as those green eyes do their own sweep of my body. A small smile falls across her lips, and I’m hoping that means she likes what she sees.

Shit, did she see my freak out?

“It’s my birthday,” I blurt out as if that makes the mental freak out I was having any damn better.

Her brows raise at my comment. “Then you’ve come to the right place to celebrate,” she says, her tongue running along her glossy pink lips.

“Didn’t think wishes came true when you blew out the candles on your birthday cake, and yet, here you are,” I tell her as my words make her smile widen.

“Guess I better make it count. No one wants bad luck on their birthday, do they?” she says, arching her brow at me.

“I’ve had enough bad luck to last a lifetime,” I say, the words tumbling out before I realize what I’ve said. Good start, Ali, jump in there with your relationship trauma bullshit.

“My name’s Elle, and it will be my pleasure tonight to make sure we give you nothing but good luck all night long,” she says seductively.

I like the sound of that.
