“He’s perfect.”She sniffles as she looks over at me.“I can’t believe this is your baby, Harley.”
“I can’t either, but look at the little dimple in his left cheek.It’s the same as the one we get when we smile.”
Justice looks over at me and together we start to cry.“I’m so proud of you.”She sobs.
“I can’t wait to see him grow up and for you to be the person he can go to when his parents piss him off.”I sob right along with her.
“I will, I’ll always be his shelter.”
“I know.”I reach up, wiping the tears from under my eyes.
“He’s lucky to have us.”Dad exhales happily.
“And we’re lucky to have him.”Justice puts her finger toward his fist.Blindly, he grabs hold.
Bishop has a seat on the other side of me.“This is my dream, Lee.Thank you for giving it to me,” he whispers.
“It’s our dream,” I whisper back to him.“Every single one of them is going to come true.”
