As we get back to work, I notice a truck doing a slow roll by the shop.The same truck I saw my brother driving.I don’t know what he wants, but it can’t be good.
“I’ve noticed that vehicle on some of the camera feeds.”
Looking over as Caelin speaks, I wonder what the presence means.“That’s my brother, I think.”
“It is.I ran the plates.He’s not the most trustworthy of dudes.I did a check on him.”
“Yeah, he thinks my dad is the best thing since sliced bread.He wants to do nothing more than make the fucker proud.There’s no telling what he’s doing slinking around here, but it’s nothing good.”
“We’ll keep an eye out then.”
“Yeah, let’s do that.Don’t say anything to Drew or Harley?”
He looks as if he wants to argue but, in the end, he nods.“Whatever you wanna do, we’ll do.You were the one who started this, so I’ll default to what you wanna do.At some point if this keeps up though, we’ll need to bring them in.You’ve got a baby on the way and I’ve got a wife I absolutely don’t want to piss off.”
“Funny how you mentioned the wife and not the father-in-law.”
“I think we can both agree the wives are scarier than the father-in-law.”
Nodding, I agree.“Damn straight.”
