Griffin’s killing the song, his gaze on mine. But even if he weren’t such a good singer, I wouldn’t care. Because here’s my gorgeous man, singing his love for me in front of everyone who matters.

When the song ends, everyone except me claps. I’m too busy holding my hands over my racing heart.

Ellie taps me on my shoulder. “Here.”

I look down at what she’s holding—the white mask I had on at the masquerade. Griffin must’ve kept it, because I left it in his hotel room after our first night together.

Smiling hugely, I put it on.

“Hey, stranger,” I whisper as I walk to him.
