Rejection (The Mate Games 2) - Page 11

“Yes.”

He grabbed me by my hair and pulled me up until my back was resting against his chest. Then he released the tangled strands and slid his palm to my throat, his other hand moving from my hip and down so that his palm pressed against my belly and the tip of his middle finger brushed over my aching clit.

“Come for your Alpha, Sunday. Come all over my cock and scream my name.”

The words alone would have been enough, but then he dragged his teeth along my neck and bit down on the tender flesh he’d already marked. Sparks burst through me, a wave of deep pleasure that curled my toes. I screamed his name until my voice went ragged. If he hadn’t been holding me up, I would have collapsed in a heap on the forest floor.

He was right there with me, his cries of pleasure harmonizing with mine in the night.

I felt him lengthen, harden even more, as he jerked inside me and filled me just like he promised.

“Take it all, Sunday. It’s yours.” He kissed the mark on my neck. “I’m yours.”

I shivered in his arms, still too undone by the intensity of my orgasm to respond.

“Don’t worry,” he whispered, running his palm over my breast and tweaking my nipple. “I’ll tell Thorne you’ve come to your senses.”

That one statement sent my wolf back into hiding. My head cleared, and everything came into sharp focus. What had I just let him do? I brought my fingertips to the place he’d marked me, the same place Noah had sealed our mate bond.

“Get the fuck off me.”

He released me as though I’d slapped him.

“What the hell? Are you actually trying to do a one-eighty on me while my cum is literally dripping down your thigh?”

I was shaking, reeling from the truth of what had just happened. I’d wanted it. Begged for it even. But I hadn’t been the one in control. My wolf had been pushing me. It was the first time I’d ever been wholly at the mercy of the animal inside of me.

“You took advantage.”

“You begged for it.”

“You knew it wasn’t me. You knew it was my wolf.”

“You. Are. Your. Wolf.”

It was a truth I wasn’t ready to accept. One Icouldn’taccept.

“No,” I said, shaking my head. “No.”

“Deny it all you want, sweetheart. You were wet for me. You still are. Your wolf wants this, which means so do you. Stop trying to fight it.”

“I’m not fighting anything.”

Kingston got right in my face. “Yes, you fucking are. Otherwise you wouldn’t be pulling this bullshit right now. You know what you want. I was inside you. I could feel it. You might be able to lie to yourself, but you will never be able to lie to me. I know the truth now.”

Tremors racked my body, my skin itching and burning. Too tight. Too hot. My heart raced so hard it hurt. Hammering filled my head, like horse’s hooves pounding hard and fast. Just like when Noah had given me his mating mark and my pulse overwhelmed my senses. I was dying. I was having a heart attack at twenty-three after being mated by two different men in the same night and then fucked to within an inch of my life in the middle of some magical forest.

I gasped, struggling to draw in breath as the tremors turned to what felt an awful lot like a seizure. “Kingston,” I whimpered.

“Ride it out. Don’t fight it. It always hurts more when you try to resist.”

“Resist what?”

But he wasn’t a man any longer. A beautiful wolf stared at me, his gaze easing some of the agony as my bones shifted. I realized then what was taking place.

My wolf was coming, and she was ready to play.

It’s about fucking time.

“Yes. It fucking is.”

And then I was on my hands—paws—on the ground, human no more.

For the first time ever, I was free.
