“Can I see you again tonight?” he asked.
“I’d like that.”
Hazel eyes grinned down at her. “Stay away from Gal Gadot.”
“Don’t worry. If she shows up, I’ll introduce her to Tom Hardy.”
Before she could doze off for another hour of sleep she badly needed, her phone rang somewhere in the living room. It was just like Dallas to call her before he’d even left the parking lot. Her foot caught in the comforter as she tumbled headlong out of bed and she banged her knee on the dresser before she dashed out of the bedroom.
A frantic search uncovered the phone under the sofa on the fifth ring. She answered before voice mail could pick up, already smiling, prepared to come up with a clever response to whatever he said, but anything clever vanished the moment she heard the familiar male voice.
“Hey, Hans. I’m in Grand. Mind if I drop by?” Tim said.
