Kyllian had been so in his head he didn’t hear her approach.Quinn studied him from across the room.His Gryphon rumbled, and Kyllian figured it was speaking to her Wolf.Quinn tilted her head to the side, eyes unfocused.She smiled and stood, joining them.
“We have something for you,” Quinn said.She took the documents from him, sifted through the options, and handed one certificate and one card back.With the other two, she held them out to their girl.Trenton and Rory looked on as Nikita studied the certificate.
With tears in her eyes, she asked, “Really?”
“If that’s what you want.”Shaking the envelope, he told her, “You have options.If you’d rather have Shepherd as your last name, that’s your choice.”
Nikita took a deep breath and Kyllian held his.“Is this okay with you, Mom?”
Quinn cupped Nikita’s cheek, wiping away a stray tear.“I think it’s perfect.”
“Then we should have a wedding.I know you’re mates and all, but if I’m going to be a Lazlo, you should too.”
Kyllian couldn’t agree more.
