Just for You - Page 35

Music was playing, and Birdie hadn’t exaggerated, there was a fuck load of food. Hank and Beau had brewed some beer, and there was some of Tucker’s moonshine on offer as well. Tonight was gonna get messy.

I was pacing myself, though. The old man hadn’t arrived yet, and I wanted a clear head when I saw him for the first time in a long time.

I hadn’t seen Addie in an hour or so. Riley had shown her where we’d be staying upstairs, then they’d poured themselves drinks and headed off to get ready.

A group of kids ran past, laughing and squealing, probably because Beau was chasing them. Hank stood to the side with one of his twin boys, Oliver. The kid was a lot like his father, the two of them talking quietly, watching everything that was going on.

The sound of laughter came from across the room, and I turned as the women walked in, carrying more food. Addie held a basket of rolls, and my gaze slid over her.

Fuck.

My gut clenched. She was wearing jeans, boots, and the sweater I’d packed for her. It was red and soft and had little pink cupcakes on the sleeves. It also dipped low and showed a serious amount of cleavage. She’d worn it to Cal’s birthday party a few months ago, and I’d been forced to watch her from a distance in that fucking cute, sexy-as-fuck sweater, wanting to dirty her all up but not being able to have her.

So I’d packed it, and I planned on having her in it tonight.

I couldn’t look away from her, the smile on her face, eyes bright. She was flushed, something that happened when she’d had a few drinks. She was fucking gorgeous. I wanted her again, badly. I’d wanted her all damn day.

A roaring sound echoed from across the room, startling the women.Beau. I chuckled as he roared again, and Freya burst out laughing at her husband, who was now charging toward her.

Addie put the buns on the food table, then her gaze came right to me, and that smile widened. This weekend she was mine, so I didn’t hold back. I crooked my finger at her, and the color on her cheeks grew darker still, and then she was weaving her way through everyone to come to me.

She stopped and tilted her head back. “Did your cousin just roar?”

“Yep.” I gripped the side of her neck. “Mating call. Stag.”

“Oh.” Her eyes widened, then she laughed and turned to where Beau and Freya were now making out. “Looks like it worked.”

I grinned. “Always does.”

“Have you ever roared at anyone?”

“Maybe.”

“So this is a mountain man thing?” she said, her brown eyes sparkling.

“I guess so. You want me to roar at you?”

She shook her head, laughing again, her long dark curls moving in a way that made me want to run it through my hands and kiss her. “I think I’m good,” she said.

“Yeah, you are.” I tucked her hair behind her ear ’cause I had to touch her, and she blushed harder. “You’ve been gone a long time, cupcake.”

She struck a goofy pose. “We were getting ready. How do I look?”

I gave her a slow, thorough once-over. “Hot as fuck.”

“Seeing as you’re the one who picked my outfit, all my outfits, actually, for this weekend, I guess you should give yourself a pat on the back.” She grinned and her nose crinkled. The grin that meant she was messing around, teasing, flirting. It made me hard every fucking time.

I gave her another once-over. “Oh, I have.” I brushed my thumb across her jaw.

“So, ah, you really put some thought into picking out my clothes?”

“I did. Your underwear drawer was my favorite. Found all kinds of interesting things.” I thought she was blushing before.

Her gaze darted away, then back, then the spark was there, the mischief, the brat that I itched to spank until her ass was red, then fuck her senseless.

“You saw the pink one?” she asked.

“Yeah.” She had a vibrator that looked like a blue, veiny cock and a smaller pink one that was obviously used to stimulate her clit. I’d brought that one with me.
