Chapter Five

Over the next couple of days, Rosie stayed at her shop as each of the Old Boyz came and did some measurements. She was surprised that each of them had a certain skill installing a café. When she asked Billy about it, he promised they would get someone with the appropriate skills required.

“Damn, are you hiring me again?” Joe asked.

“No, and I don’t know why you’re still here.”

“I’ll be here when there’s something like that to look at. Just look at them. Roar.”

She rolled her eyes but couldn’t disagree with him. They really were something hot to look at. By the fifth day, she stood at the curtain staring into the room and fanning herself. Her mouth was salivating, and she caught Pops bent over, measuring for her sink. She took a sip of her coffee and gasped as the hot liquid touched her lips.

“Like what you see, babe?” Pops asked, turning to look at her.

“A little bit.”

He laughed. “You’re a bad liar.”

“I’ve never been really good at it.” She shrugged. “Would you like a coffee?”

“Sure.”

She left him alone to go and make a coffee. The shop was closed as it was late, and Pops was the only one left for the day. Humming to herself, she was spooning in the sugar when she felt Pops move in behind her.

“Hello, beautiful.”

“Hey,” she said. Her heart was pounding, and she didn’t know what to make of his sudden close touching. Five days had gone by since she’d agreed to be with them, and even though she’d seen them every single day, not once had they initiated anything intimate. Sure, there had been a few touches, some light stroking, and certainly a lot of flirting, but nothing major.

“Here,” she said.

He took the coffee from her and placed it back on the counter. “Gavin said that he’s worried about you.”

“There’s no need to be worried about me. I’m good.”

Pops kept staring at her, and she didn’t know what to do or what to say to make him see that she was fine, more than fine. “What did I tell you about being a bad liar?”

She rolled her eyes. “I’m not lying.”

“Tell me the truth. What is going on in that head of yours?”

“I don’t know.”

“Lying?” he asked.

“No, I’m not lying. I don’t know what you want me to say or do. I’m confused. All five of you have said that I belong to you, and yet other than that first day, nothing has happened. Have I done something wrong?”

He tilted her head back, running his thumb across her lip, and the simple action drove her crazy. Didn’t he know how much she loved his touch? Craved it.

“We’re giving you time to get accustomed to us.”

“I’m ready.”

“Really? You’re ready for the five of us? To become ours?”

“Yes.”

The hand on her chin moved down, stroking down her neck, across her pulse toward her breasts.

“You’re ready to have five men see you completely naked, without a stitch of clothing on?”
