Dead Girls Never Talk - Page 65

His boxers had somehow disappeared without even making a noise, and when he placed himself at my center from behind, I desperately looked for something to hang onto. The armoire we were hiding in was bigger than your usual armoire. Cade and I were in tight quarters, but we could still fit as long as he bent down an inch. It was sturdy, too. I remembered when Sister Mary had them custom-made by an Amish man years ago, but surely, the rod above my head would snap if I pulled it.

Cade inched in slowly, cursing quietly at how wet I was. His forearm rested below my hoodie, holding me up, and then he took my hands and placed them on the same rod I was afraid would break. I bravely wrapped my hands around it, and when he entered me all the way, filling me up as much as he possibly could, my fingers tightened, and I leaned farther forward for a better angle.

“That’s it,” he whispered.

I snapped my eyes back through the woven material on the armoire door and nearly snagged in relief as Sister Elizabeth walked to the door and disappeared from the room. I knew we weren’t in the clear yet and so did Cade, because his thrusts were slow and deep, hardly making any noise or sharp movements at all.

“Good girl keeping quiet,” he coaxed. His hand grabbed onto my chin, and he turned my head back so he could kiss me deeply. My eyes shut, and my hands pulled on the rod above us. He knew his dirty words always gave me that extra push, and all the times I had touched myself in the last several months were nothing compared to this moment right here. In fact, nothing at all topped this. I was pushing back against him every time he dove in a little deeper, and our tongues mixed together like two snakes tangling in the wild.

“I’m going to make you come twice, baby. Are you ready for the first?”

Wait, what?

His thrusting grew harder and faster, and my head spun with the tightening of every muscle I had. His hand landed over my mouth to keep me quiet, and he pressed a hot kiss to my neck, right over my pulse. “Let go,” he said right before he pressed his fingers onto my needy clit, and just like that, my body yielded to his demand. Stars coated my vision, mixing with the darkness, and I couldn’t even catch my breath as Cade’s fingers began touching me over and over again, circling me, rubbing me, lightly brushing over the sensitive bud before he pushed me forward, giving me a new angle.

“Cade, I…I—” A frenzy fueled the intense, mind-numbing pleasure, and I was truly incapable of making words.

“Fuck, I missed this. I missed you. Are you ready for round two?”

One of his hands cupped my waist, and the other gripped my hair. We were in tight quarters, and at some point, we’d moved around so I was no longer facing the doors.

“Nothing…” he said, brushing over my clit again, bringing me to insanity. He pumped in short strokes, itching the need I had to the point that tears gathered in my eyes. “Will ever replace you, Journey. This right here?” He moved in and out, and I froze, completely at a standstill with how emotionally and physically connected I was. “Is me showing you how much I love you. Do you feel it? Do you feel me burying myself inside you? Filling you up with everything I have? It might not be much, but it’s all of me.”

Yes. Yes. Yes.

Just then, I came in hard, crashing waves, biting onto my lip so I would keep quiet. Cade pulled out of me a second later, and I felt his hot liquid hit the back of my thigh and burn me all the way down to my ankle.

I snapped my head back to him, still out of breath. Our dark gazes met instantly, and it was then that I knew I wasn’t trying to outlive the threat on my life for me, but I was doing it for him.
