Epilogue

DAMIEN

One year later…

“Damien Wolfe!”

“What woman?” I scowl at the beautiful woman standing in front of me, her gorgeous blue eyes glowering and her hair a wild mess from a passionate fuck session doing wild and unspeakable things to one another.

“This won’t work if you keep uncuffing yourself every time I try to punish you. You promised!” I look up at her from my position lying on the bed and grit my teeth.

“Ezra, baby, the fact I’m even letting you cuff me is a miracle in itself, believe me. Don’t push it.” I growl while eyeing the black feather in between her fingers. “You’re driving me crazy with that thing.” I hiss, and her facial expression goes from annoyed to pleased in a second flat.

“Mm, frustrating, isn’t it, giving up control?” I groan when she brushes the feather along my shaft. “Now you know how I feel when you won’t let me touch you.” I tug on the cuffs when she brushes the feather down the valley between her breasts and lowers it to her perfect pussy. “From now on, if I don’t get to touch you…you can’t touch this…”

I scowl at her and shake my head. “You wouldn’t last a day.”

“Is that a challenge?” Her brow goes up with intrigue, and I only stare at her. I’d lose that bet.

“Fuck no, I definitely wouldn’t last a day without touching you,” Ezra smirks and leans over, she brushes her lips over mine, and her hands rake over my chest. The feeling of being touched—only by her—isn’t so bad anymore…in fact, I’m growing rather fond of having her soft hands roam over my body.

After everything that happened, we were finally in a good place. I’m learning to deal with my demons and be more open with her about what I had suffered in my past. She’s been understanding and supportive throughout all of it, which honestly makes me love her that much more. I’ve had it rough, but she’s more than made up for it this past year. I can finally say that I am happy…we are happy. With no threat looming over our heads, we were free to live our lives as we wanted.

I did everything I had set out to do. I righted the wrongs that were done to my parents, and those that were responsible got what they deserved. I sincerely hope they burn in hell for all of eternity. I found my baby sister, and I still couldn’t believe I have a family. A year ago, I had nothing, and now I have a wife who loves me unconditionally, a sister that annoys me daily who is also about to be engaged to my best friend. I was less than pleased when I found out Jax was dating my sister, but she seems to be keeping him on the straight and narrow, he makes her happy, and that is all that matters to me.

My mind flashes back to the moment I saw her in Jian’s compound that day. I froze in my spot when I set my sights on her, standing there holding a gun and aiming it at my head. It felt as though I was looking at my mother. Aria is a carbon copy of our mom. Long dark hair, small frame, big gray eyes that we both got from our father.

“Aria.” She looks at me perplexed before her eyes look over my shoulder.

Haylee and Jax come over, and both draw their guns and aim at Aria. “Drop the gun.” Haylee orders and Aria smirks, shaking her head.

“I don’t think so. You can pull the trigger, but I’m taking pretty boy here with me. Unless you want the remains of his brain splattered all over you, I suggest you both drop your weapons.”

“Jax, Haylee, put your guns down,” I say, and Haylee scowls at me.

“Have you lost your goddamn mind? What are you doing, Damien?” She interjects, but I shoot her a scathing look.

“Put your fucking gun down! Now!” Jax lowers his gun and places his hand over Haylees and pushes it down. “If you want to pull that trigger and kill me, you can, but I need you to hear me out first.” I look at Aria and drop my gun and kick it away. “Aria—”

“My name is Natalia. Why do you keep calling me that?” She questions, narrowing her eyes in scrutiny.

I shake my head. “No, it’s not. Your name is Aria Saunders, and you're my baby sister.” I tell her, and she shakes her head slowly and chuckles.

“I have one brother, Jian. I don’t know who the fuck you are, and I don’t care to either.” She pulls the barrel back on her gun, and I hold up my hand.

“You were taken the day our parents were killed. I spent years looking for you, and I was convinced you were dead until today when Hugo told me you were alive. Mateo took you in and raised you.”

“You’re lying!” She hisses through clenched teeth.

“You have a birthmark on the back of your neck, and it’s shaped like a butterfly,” I explain, slowly moving closer to her, Aria’s eyes skim over my face, and she reaches up instinctively and touches her neck. “How would I know that if I were lying? And what would I achieve by lying to you about this? If I wanted you dead, you’d be dead already just like your mates.” I take another step toward her, and her gun lowers slightly when her arm slackens. “You look just like our mother, Aria.”

“I never had a mother.” She utters, her eyes watering.

“You did, one that loved you very much. Her name was Emilie, and our father was Adrian. He worked for Hugo until he killed them both.”

“If that were true, how are you still alive? Why didn’t they kill you or take us both?”

“Mom told me to hide, and she hid you too, but they found you when you got scared and started crying. You were only two years old. I watched them kill our parents and take you away.” I reach her and grasp her shoulders. “I’m your brother, Aria. You’re the only family I’ve got.” Tears roll down her cheeks while she watches me. She’s still uncertain. I can see it written all over her face, so I lift the gun and press it to my chest. “I promised mom and dad that I would bring you back to where you belong, dead or alive. There is nothing here for you, I’m going to kill Lorenzi, and I’m not leaving you here, so you either come with, or you might as well shoot me now.”
