A Legacy of Sorrow (A Violent Agenda) - Page 37

“Tell Razor it was me.”

All three boys look at me, considering my suggestion. It’s Thursday night after school. Lorcan has called another fucking house meeting. I’m perched on the end of the sofa with my arms crossed, letting the boys talk around in circles until I can’t take any more. They have no idea what to do about the guy who overdosed.

He almost didn’t make it.

How was I to know the guy was allergic to opiates?

Since he was Razor’s guy, I’ve messed up the deal Dino was making with him. On top of that there’s an on-going investigation into the incident since it happened on school grounds. Razor wouldn’t have involved the police, but the school have and there are fucking witnesses who saw Dino with the victim who have come forward. Despite him having an alibi (me), the school has made it pretty clear they won’t tolerate drugs and have decided to make an example out of Dino.

He’s already been questioned and cautioned.

If I’d have known, I wouldn’t have bothered saving him. Apparently, he didn’t even need saving.

“He’ll kill you,” Dino says, in answer to my question.

“I think you’re forgetting who I am,” I reply.

“She’s got a point,” says Jude.

I snap my gaze to him. Why of all people is he taking my side?

Dino shakes his head. “It doesn’t fucking matter, you’re ours so the outcome is the same whoever it is. Razor won’t deal with us now, instead he’ll be gunning for us again. I’ll have to meet with him tonight, smooth things over.”

“I’ll come with you,” I say.

Dino narrows his eyes at me. “Fine.” He looks at Lorcan. “What about the cops?”

“I’ll take care of them. They have witnesses but no hard evidence. I’ll see that those witnesses forget what they saw,” Lorcan says, just as he gets a call on his phone. He walks to the other end of the room to take it. He listens for a few heartbeats, then, eyes raging upon a storm, he hangs up.

“It’s Saskia. She’s…fuck. I need to go,” he says, gathering his jacket with a scowl. He leaves pretty quickly, but not before kissing me full on the lips, one hand tangled in my hair, the other groping my ass. All right in front of Dino and Jude.

His move screams, sex drought is over, if nothing else.

As soon as Lorcan’s gone, Dino stops peeling the label off his beer with his long fingers and exchanges a look with Jude before shaking his head at me.

“What?” I say.

Dino’s angry dimple is back. “So you’ve decided?”

“Decided?” Maybe playing dumb is what I should do, because I can’t be fucked to handle guys and their fucking hormones right now.

“Which one of us you want,” he says coolly. “You and Lor, looked pretty cozy from where I’m sitting.”

I roll my eyes. “No. And I told you, I’m not choosing between the three of you.”

“I’m not asking you to choose yet. I’m saying, if you’re dating Lor, you should be dating all of us before you decide.”

I arch a brow, saying nothing. I don’t know what to say to that. “Lorcan and I aren’t even dating, we’re fucking.” As soon as the words leave my lips, I know I’ve made a mistake.

“Then you should be fucking all three of us.” Dino glares.

Jude snorts. “Fucking hell, mate. I don’t know what’s more painful. Listening to you, or a fucking three day hangover.” He gets up off the sofa, eyes blazing at me. “For the record, I’m not saying anything of the sort. You know where my dick is, you’re welcome to ride it any time, or not. I couldn’t care less.”

Dino waits until Jude is out the door to smirk. “Quickest way to get rid of Jude, embarrass the fuck out of him.”

I stare at him. That was Jude embarrassed? “I can’t keep up,” I say, shaking my head
