“It’s a live show of a bunch of girls in one family. I think they’re stupid, but some people seem to like them,” she said.
Kinley laughed. “We were working on setting up Pokemon software next.”
The girls in the room laughed hard, and the men just smiled.
“Well, I do know what that is,” Mr. Donelly said. “It would have been fun to see their faces if they copied it.”
Warrick laughed. He agreed.
A bell went off, and Mr. Donelly looked down at his phone and started gathering his things. “My guys are here, so if there’s nothing else, I’ll go. And again, I am sorry. I’m glad it worked out.”
“Will we know what happens to them?” Shelby asked.
Every man in the room froze.
Warrick cleared his throat. “They talk to them and then probably send them home.”
The girls were in the room, but the men knew exactly what would happen. The two men would disappear. They’d be in a secure building and questioned for hours, days, and even weeks. Warrick didn’t want to think about the other things that could happen to them to get information.
He waited until Donelly left before he tipped Shelby’s head up and took her lips in a scorching kiss that left them breathless.
