Micah (The Corsetti Empire) - Page 54

“I have never let myself go like that. It’s important to me, Izzy, that you tell me if I was too much.”

She reached her hand up to his check as they lay there, “You could never be too much for me Micah, you are my perfect beast.”

He dipped his head and gently placed his lips on hers. The intimacy of aftercare was not lost on him and the two of them were doing to need a lot after tonight.

“As much as I hate to move, the bugs are terrible. We should start making our way back.”

“Okay,” she breathed as he untangled himself from her grasp. Before standing, he reached for her sundress. It was a muddy wreck and there was a tear in the back of it. There was no way she could wear it out again, but he helped her get it over her head and pulled it down her body. The small piece of fabric should be able to protect her slightly from the mosquitos that had gone from a slight bother to unbearable.

“How do you still have your sneakers on?” he asked with a laugh.

“They are my lucky chucks, I knew they would do me good.” she said as he helped her to her feet only long enough to have her sit on a tree stump nearby.

He dressed quickly and pulled his phone from his pocket. They were lucky he didn’t lose it in the chase. He powered it on and clicked the locator app that would direct them back to the car. Isabel looked sated and happy, but exhausted. Luckily, they weren’t too far out. When she turned left, she had doubled back, and they were only had about a fifteen minute walk to the car. He leaned down, placing one arm under her legs and the other around her torso.

She yelped when he lifted her. “What are you doing?”

“I’m carrying you back.”

“You are not. Put me down.”

“Izzy, just relax, please. You are exhausted. I can see it in your eyes and your body. Just lay your head on my shoulder and let me do this for you.”

He didn’t move as he spoke to her, and he refused to take a step without her approval. Their scene was over and she needed to allow him to do this. He needed to hear her give him permission. In the real world, they were equal partners. He didn’t need constant control over her and he’d never ask that of her, anyway. When he asked her to do things, he wanted her to do them because she wanted to, not because he made her. They stood there for what was probably thirty seconds, but the wait felt like thirty hours. Suddenly, her head fell to his shoulder, and the tension left her body.

“Okay, you can carry me,” she whispered as he took the first steps back through the forest, down the embankment and through the river to get back to their car.

The ride back to the hotel was quiet. When they got to the driveway, Micah pulled out the supplies they had brought, and their changes of clothes. Luckily, the nearest neighbor wasn’t within walking distance. When Micah lifted her dress from her body, he placed gentle kisses on each of the bruised marks he had left. It wasn’t until he reached between her thighs to clean her up that he noticed his cum dripping down her leg. The little control he had shown until that point was lost and he picked her up from where she was, laid her out on the hood of his Ferrari and licked her pussy clean until she cried out in one last orgasm. After that, her body gave out. It had no more fight and she couldn’t maintain the façade. He dressed her and combed out her hair, removing as much dirt and debris as he could. Once she was settled into the passenger’s seat, he opened the trunk and pulled out a blanket he kept there. He covered her bruised body and changed his clothes. By the time he made it to his side of the car, he took a seat, only to realize he could already hear the soft sound of her rhythmic breathing as she slept.

His mind replayed every moment of the chase as he drove back to the hotel. It was well after midnight and one nice thing about staying at a family-friendly hotel versus downtown was that the lobby was a ghost town when they arrived. He pulled up to the valet and handed him the keys along with a ridiculously large tip in hopes he wouldn’t raise suspicion about the fact he was about to carry his fiancee’s sleeping body into the hotel wrapped in a blanket. The money worked and the kid even held the door open for him as he approached the building.

“Izzy, come on baby, you need to wake up. I know it’s late but I need to get you cleaned up and see to your wounds before you go to bed,” he said as the elevator doors opened on their floor.

She nuzzled deeper into his neck, which only made him smile. As he made the final strides to their suite, she stirred and asked to be put down. They entered the hotel room hand in hand and headed to the bathroom, stripping out of their clothes while Micah ran the shower.

“I’m so tired,” she said, stepping under the hot spray and wincing from the heat hitting her skin.

“I know Iz, let’s just get cleaned up and then you can spend the whole day in bed tomorrow.”

“Only if you stay in bed with me.”

“Room service only.”

“What about work?”

“What about it?”

“Tomorrow is Monday.”

“I don’t know if you realized it, but I kind of own the place so I can take the day off. Technically, you still work for me, so no work for you either.”

She nodded and closed her eyes, stepping further under the water so he could wash her hair. The movements had become so natural to him; he wondered what it would feel like to have these moments with her for the rest of his life. Holding her, caring for her, loving her were all things he was growing fond of. His love for her had continued to grow, and she moved from a woman who was one of his only genuine friends to the woman who held his heart in her hand. If only he could find a way to keep her from crushing it.
