Claiming the Biker (Royal Bastards MC: Charleston, WV 9) - Page 15

I pull up to Wylla Mae’s. It’s my first day off this week and I’m in need of some real talk from my bestie before the restie. Viking said I could talk to her about this mess he’s gotten me into with Justice. I’m not sure how she will react. I know she wants me to be with Viking over Justice but I’m not sure this is what she wanted for me.

I knock lightly on the door in case Mila, her little girl is napping. When the door opens, I’m surprised to be greeted by Hazel, Holy’s Ol’ Lady. She’s also Wylla Mae’s cousin. Her mother gave her up for adoption as a baby and she ended up in foster care with Holy when they were kids. They recently reconnected and I guess got married. Her mother is Murder’s sister. The family is a crazy mess, but things are working out.

“Hey.” I offer her a smile. I know she went through some bad shit a few months back, but I don’t know all the details.

“Hey,” she returns. “Wylla is putting the baby down for her nap. We’re making tacos if you’re hungry.”

“Sounds good. Need any help?”

“Sure. If you can cut up the lettuce and tomatoes and set out whatever other toppings you want, that’d be perfect.”

I follow her into the kitchen and wash my hands in the kitchen sink while she returns to cooking the meat, rice, and beans.

“How’s married life treating you these days?”

She lifts a shoulder. “I can’t complain.”

I wouldn’t either if I was married to Holy. He’s a bit intimidating and kind of odd but the man is seriously hot. Wylla Mae and the other Ol’ Ladies say he likes to keep Hazel cuffed and collared in and out of the bedroom. Whatever floats her boat and tickles his pickle.

“What about you? I hear you’re dating a cop,” she muses and takes a sip of her drink.

I move to the refrigerator and start taking out the veggies, sauces, and cheeses. “Yup. We’ve only had a few dates. I don’t know. He’s nice.”

“Only nice?” she smirks.

“I don’t know. I’m kind of into this other guy but it’s complicated.”

“Need to talk about it?”

I smile as I start rinsing the lettuce. “That’s kind of why I’m here today. I need outside perspective.”

“Perspective about what?” Wylla comes waddling down the hallway from Mila’s room.

“I’ve got a situation.” I try to choose my words carefully. I’m not sure how freely I can speak in front of Hazel. Her husband is the club’s chaplain, so I know she is trustworthy in that sense, but Viking said only to discuss what I’m really doing with Justice with Wylla Mae.

“Don’t worry about talking around Hazel. She can keep a secret. I might have filled her in a little before you got here. I might have also called her for some backup. When Viking came over the other night and was pressing me for bestie details, I was present for his talk with East about this Justice stuff.”

“Okay.” He said I could talk to her about it but no one else. Though if Wylla trusts her cousin, then I have faith that I should too. I get right into it as I continue my prep work. “You know that I told you how Viking and I hooked up. He made me so damn nervous I kinda froze and the sex was bad for both of us. He said he’d call, and he didn’t.”

Hazel makes a wow face but doesn’t comment.

“Anyway, after the fight the other night he came by and well um we kinda had sex again only this time it was better than good it was great.”

Wylla smiles big at this confession.

“But I told him this time not to worry that I didn’t expect him to call. I went on my date with Justice, and it wasn’t bad but….

“No fireworks?” my best friend finishes for me.

“Exactly. Anyway, I decided to say screw it and I called Viking. Only some skank answered his phone and said he couldn’t come to the phone because get this, he was too busy eating her pussy to talk to me.”

Wylla Mae snorts and Hazel’s face glows red as they share a look.

“What?”

“Okay. About that,” Hazel starts. “I’m sorry.” She cringes. “Viking stopped by the one night, and he left his phone on the coffee table when he went to the bathroom. His phone was ringing and Holy kinda dared me to do it. I wasn’t thinking it would cause problems. We were goofing off.”

“Seriously? No shit. He didn’t put you up to this to make me feel better?”

She shakes her head, embarrassment evident in her expression as she won’t meet my gaze. “I feel like a total asshole.”

“Okay then. That explains that. Moving on. Things got heated between us and we um ended up screwing on my stairs and well why we were you know doing stuff he started talking all crazy about how he wants me to keep seeing Justice to get information on him for the club.”

“On the stairs. Didn’t that hurt?” Wylla questions.

I put down the knife I’m using to dice the tomatoes and twist around to show them the bruise on my back.

“Damn.” Hazel says as she drains the hamburger meat. “Knew he was a freak.”

“Oh, like you’re one to talk,” Wylla reminds her.

“Pfft whatever.” Hazel rolls her eyes.

“Soo are you going to do it?”

“I don’t know. I mean I guess I agreed but he was doing stuff I liked so in the moment I’d probably agreed to anything he wanted. I know he thinks Justice is a dirty cop and part of me wants him to be wrong. Justice is a good dude. He’s not pushy. He’s like the perfect gentleman. I don’t want to hurt the guy, but I don’t want to let Viking down either. He’s kind of crazy and scares me.”

Hazel turns from stirring the meat. “What do you mean he scares you?”

“He’s possessive. Like he told me that every time I’m supposed to go out with Justice that he has to see me first to um…” I pause and can’t believe the words I’m about to say out loud, “to come in my mouth so that when he kisses me, he gets a mouthful of his cock.”

They both stare at me open mouthed.

Wylla Mae blinks and makes a weird face. “Do what now? I mean East is a little controlling and I know Holy is dominant but wow. Just I don’t know what to say to that.” She shakes her head as she gets the plates and silverware out.

“What if this other guy wants to fuck you?” Hazel questions.

“He told me to blow him off and tell him that I’m saving myself for marriage.”

Hazel moves her head around like she’s thinking about it. “I mean it could work. How do you feel about Viking?”

“I mean the sexual chemistry is amazing, but I don’t know that I can be with a biker. No offense but you both know that you live in a dangerous world that isn’t normal. I just don’t know if I’m cut out for it.”

“You don’t have to decide today and if you need to talk, you have us,” Wylla Mae assures me, but I think I’m already in the thick of a colossal fucking mess.

I don’t believe for one second that I can easily say I want out. Their world doesn’t operate that way.
