Taken by the Rebel - Page 16

Blaze was still fully dressed.

“When will I have my clothes?” she asked.

“Tomorrow, when I give them to you.”

“You’re going to hold them hostage until then?”

“I wouldn’t need to do this if you did as you were told.”

“You never once told me to stay in one place.”

“Are you being a pain in the ass on purpose?” he asked.

She merely smiled at him, and he growled.

“What’s the matter?”

“You. I don’t want you to leave my bed.”

Fay rolled her eyes and tucked into her food. The first bite made her realize how hungry she was. She finished it seconds after Blaze finished with his.

“I’ll do the dishes.” She got to her feet and went to the sink. There was only the saucepan, two plates, two forks, and a wooden spoon.

She filled the bowl with warm soapy water and started to wash up, only to pause as Blaze stood behind her. His hands went to her waist.

“Is it so wrong for me to want to take care of you?” he asked.

“It’s not wrong.” Her voice sounded breathless. “I need a job, Blaze.”

“Do you?”

With his hands on her, she was losing all ability to think. One of his hands moved from her hip, going down toward her pussy. With no underwear to stop his descent, there was nothing holding him back. Nothing to keep him from touching her.

He cupped her pussy, and she gasped as he slid a finger between her slit, stroking across her clit.

“Don’t forget, you’re doing the dishes.”

She closed her eyes, sinking against him, the dishes forgotten as he touched her, awakening her need for him.

“Soon, I’m going to take this cherry, and when I do, you’re going to beg me for more.”

“Why don’t you take it tonight?”

“You’re not ready. But don’t worry, baby, you will be soon.”

Two fingers slid against her slit, and it took her higher toward the stars. The hand at her waist banded around her, holding her up. The moment her orgasm hit, he was there to catch her.

He stroked her pussy, drawing out every single second of her desire for him. The pleasure was out of this world.

She couldn’t think. Didn’t want to.

Blaze was all that there was.

“Son of a fucking bitch,” Blaze said, slamming his closet door closed.

Fay was … resourceful.

There was a nice little note for him, telling him that she needed to borrow some clothes because hers had been stolen. He didn’t even know where she was, or how long she’d been gone.

Blaze changed into a pair of sweatpants and a shirt before grabbing his cell phone and dialing Blair’s number.

“You lost her again?” Blair asked.

“I didn’t lose her. How the fuck can she sleep so little and not get tired?”

“Ah, you see, Fay does sleep a lot. She tends to go to sleep early and rise early. She’s a morning person. Trust me on this.”

“Where can I find her?”

“She hasn’t called me this morning.” Blair yawned. “She knows I’ve got an early exam and needed my beauty sleep.”

“Fuck, I’m sorry. Good luck.”

“Will do. It’s Fay, so she’s either back at her apartment, or at the Coffee Place, or she will go to the park.”

“The park?”

“Yeah, seeing the ducks always helps to calm her down, and she starts to settle on a plan, and all that. It’s her way. Her method. I don’t trust it.”

“Yeah, got to go.” He hung up, grabbed his keys, and left his apartment. He went to her place first, but of course, that was empty.

His next stop was the Coffee Place, and all they had to say was she’d been there for a coffee to go, which left the big-ass park.

Blaze hadn’t spent much time at the park, finding it more of a waste of time. It was the city’s way of trying to bring forms of controlled nature back. It was good for families and kids.

There weren’t many people in the park, and he scanned the crowd, finally spotting Fay. She sat with her knees pressed up against her chest. Her arms were wrapped around her legs, and she stared out across the small pond. There were several clusters of ducks, just swimming across the pond, and watching them made Fay smile.

He moved with purpose, going to her side and dropping down to the ground.

“Don’t you ever work?”

“All the fucking time, but you see, I’ve got some vacation time, so I’m good for a little while.”

He was building up for a new fight, and seeing as he earned a nice portion, bouncing for the strip club wasn’t completely necessary. Besides, his boss had given him a bit of time to prepare, so bouncing was a waste of his time at the moment.

Fay sighed. “You’re going to fight again, aren’t you?”

“How do you figure that out?”

“I’m not stupid, Blaze. You’re not working a steady job at that … boob bar, and you’re following me around. Fighting isn’t good for you.”
