A Forever Series Box Set: A Paranormal Reverse Harem-(Book 11-15) - Page 444

“What?” Devon snaps. “I have been around a long time. I know things.”

Constantine nods slowly. “Then you know it is exclusive and expensive.”

“I can handle it,” Devon says and Astraports off, pissed off that he didn’t think of this. It might work. It might not, but it is something, and he needs to do something to help Lizzie. He cannot just sit around and wait for her to wake up…or not.

He knocks on the large metal door in front of him and waits impatiently to be allowed access. It occurs to him, belatedly, that he forgot to pick up any cash on his way here. He curses himself and focuses on the wallet he left on his nightstand. He holds his hand out and summons it to him in a dazzling display of Demon magick that makes his skin prickle and his eyes to gleam. He really does need to carry on exploring his powers. Xyla taught him a lot, but he still has so much more to learn. He shoves it in the back pocket of his jeans and jumps a mile when the door finally opens.

He is given an excruciating once-over by a guard bigger than Vito, with a face so fierce, he gulps. If he doesn’t get in, he will likely be silenced for even daring to show-up.

But he needn’t have worried.

“Devon,” a female voice coos behind the guard and he relaxes.

“Ali,” he replies.

“How precious to see you again,” she says, pushing the guard out of the way and taking his hand.

Devon looks at the slight woman. Red-haired, big-breasted, blue eyes you could drown in.

“Do come in,” she purrs.

“Password,” the guard growls, slamming his hand onto Devon’s chest.

Ali laughs gently and pushes the guard away again. “Devon knows what to do.” Her blue eyes flash wickedly at him and he swallows loudly. He was prepared for this. Christ knows it is the only way he has ever gotten into this place before.

“Lead the way,” he says gallantly, and she smiles approvingly. “Although, I am in a bit of a hurry.”

Ali tuts at him and shakes her head. “You know the deal,” she says sharply.

Devon sighs inwardly and nods. “Of course.” He hopes this will be over with quickly. He supposes that is up to him though. He rallies himself and follows the tiny Vampire into a back room.

Ali closes the door and gestures to him to sit. “What is it you are here for?” she asks, sauntering towards him.

“Does it matter?” he asks, seating himself in the only chair in the room.

“The rarer the item, the higher the price.”

?

?And I will pay, whatever it takes to get a virgin. Certified,” he says shortly.

She giggles. “Not that price. A virgin? Interesting. I didn’t think you went in for the innocent.”

“I don’t,” he replies with a smile that he knows melts her panties. If she is wearing any. She is as easy to play as a fiddle. “You know I prefer a woman with experience.”

“That I do,” she says, eyeing him up. “Then why?”

“Does it matter?” he asks again. No way is he giving her the real reason he is here. He saw what Lizzie did to that Carlotta woman.

“It always matters,” she drawls, crossing her arms, letting him know he must spill or get out empty-handed.

He taps his fingers on the chair arm impatiently. Ali’s sharp eyes go to them and he stops. “It’s for a friend,” he replies brusquely.

Ali nods. “Okay, well, we have one here tonight and she is beautiful. She will be well sought after.”

“Only one?” he asks with a smirk.

“A special one,” Ali says offended. “Pure as the driven snow.”
