Dare to Succeed (The Dare 2) - Page 29

She pulled her bottom lip between her teeth and so badly Monroe wanted to coax it out with his own lips and kiss her breathless. He wanted her pliant, accessible, and in his arms.

“I don’t know what to ask.”

“Just think of something. Anything you want to know.”

“How many women have you brought here?” she asked and Monroe was shocked.

“Not one. Our home is private. It’s our retreat from work and from business. Usually, that is,” Caldwell said then caressed her belly.

Alicia shivered like his touch gave her the goose bumps.

She seemed skeptical.

“Don’t believe him?” Monroe asked her and held her gaze.

“I don’t know you well enough to tell if you’re lying or telling the truth.”

“Well, we don’t lie. Maybe tell a fib here and there, but for the most part we’re honest men. We’re being honest with you,” Caldwell said.

“I’m sorry. I’m not good at this.”

“Good at what? Asking two men some personal questions?” Caldwell pushed.

“I’m not good at talking with any men.” She lowered her eyes and Monroe couldn’t help but be aroused by her sweetness and natural submissive tendencies. She hadn’t a clue what these little signs did to his body, to his dominant side, but he read people well and Alicia needed guidance and a bit of persuasion.

He trailed a finger along her waist then over her breast and nipple.

“We’re easy men to talk to. After all, we shared a passionate kiss and I did taste these luscious breasts of yours.”

Her lips parted and her cheeks turned a nice shade of pink.

“That’s what I mean, Monroe.” She sat up and reached under her tank top to reclip her bra. He leaned on his elbow and watched her try to maneuver the large mounds back into confinement as she struggled.

“Don’t let him get under your skin. He’s harmless and likes to tease. After all, you look pretty sexy when you’re flustered and turned on,” Caldwell informed hr.

“What makes you think that I’m flustered and turned on?” she asked, voice cracking.

“Just a guess,” Caldwell teased her now and she gave him an annoyed expression.

“So you don’t play games huh, Caldwell?” she challenged. Caldwell leaned closer and ran his finger along her jaw as he held her gaze.

“Oh, I didn’t say I don’t play games. In fact, games can be quite fun with the right partner if she’s willing.”

Monroe chuckled. He couldn’t help himself. Alicia looked shocked and aroused.

“Whose doing the teasing now, Caldwell?”

“I can’t resist. She asked for it.” Caldwell leaned forward and kissed Alicia. That kiss grew deeper and soon Caldwell was moving between her thighs and cupping her cheeks.

“You’re a petite little thing. I’m not crushing you, am I?” he asked once he released her lips. She was breathing heavily as she shook her head. Caldwell glanced down at her abundant breasts pouring from the tank that stretched from the way he covered her.

“Good. Because I feel very protective of what’s mine, and my brothers’. Very protective.” He trailed kisses along her jaw, her lips, and she eased upward to receive more when he pulled back. Caldwell moved slightly to the side and cupped her breast.

“She has a body and a mouth made for us, Monroe. Max is going to love this mouth.”

“My mouth?” she asked, seemingly confused. This time Monroe chuckled as he joined his brother touching Alicia and caressing her skin. He teased along her lips and tilted her face toward him.

“Another time we’ll explain. But for now, we want you to feel comfortable with us. If we say or do something that frightens you or confuses you, don’t hesitate to ask us to stop or to explain. We’re willing to take our time with you, Alicia, because our feelings and this attraction are strong. Can you admit to feeling it, too?” Monroe asked her.
